Thank a Vet.!
If you see a WWII veteran, thank them. They will not be with us for much longer.

I've thanked my grandfather on a couple of occasions. I wrote a paper about his service in the Pacific too. He seems to really appreciate it. You're right, we have to make sure they know that they're appreciated.
Whenever I see I WWII vet, either with a hat, license plate, or other means, I always thank them.

I thank a German, Italian, or Japanese WWII Vet each time I see 'em.
I would too if they lived in the United States.

Eh hem, not every soldier that fought was an american....me own grandfar volunteered to fight and fought in the war for four years straight, and he's not a yankee.....And I already told him I appreciate his deeds, as has everyone else in my family...So thank others too :)
If I saw a WWII veteran from any country, I'd try to strike up a conversation with them. They won't be here forever.

I should thank my great uncle some more - he served in the Battle of the Buldge, bless him.

Don't worry, I believe that there were TONS more nations fighting besides us.

So you won't mind if I thank a veteran of the Red Army, of course? They were there too.

Actually, not only did the Soviets suffer more at the hands of Hitler than did any other nation ( IMHO ), but they did more to defeat him than did almost any other nation. Salute them, by all means.

The Red Army has less vets than the USA I'd guess because of a lower life expectancy.
