Seriously, if you hate Bush and think Kerry isn't up to the challenge of being a president, then just do every1 a favor and vote Green. Îf every1 who feels this way voted for the green party then they would easily get 15% of votes...

Im just saying this because i love those "Vote or Die" t-shirts. And its a shame wasting your vote on one of of those two.

which is why you waist it on nobody. so when whichever one of them gets elected goes nuts and does something stupid you can lean back and laugh at everyone who vtoted and say "told you so"

If you vote green, vote green for the future of the party not for Nader. Nader stands no chance at being elected no matter how you vote. Vote so that they receive enough percentage of the vote to receive support from our two party government.

If you don't like voting green, than how about Libertarian? Constitutionalist? Or one of the, like, 7 parties?

Yes they need 5% to revieve federal matching funds. Also Ralph Nader never ran to win, if he did we would have run as a Democrat because everyone knows the Greens have no chance of winning the White House anytime soon. He ran to show that the two parties are the same. However the Greens did not nominate Nader this time. Their candidate is David Cobb.

DON'T just vote green. You are talking about the "lesser of two evils" thing. You're saying not to vote for who you want, but vote for a more popular candidate.

Nader isn't running for the green party, David Cobb is. Nader is running as an independent.

So please vote Nader.

Something people don't understand is... Green Party is a stupid party. Why do you think it gets 1% of the votes?

If you hate both Bush and Kerry, don't vote Green. They're even stupider...

Care to elaborate, Matoya? How is the only party looking towards the future with eyes that are not rose-tinged, stupid?

Care to elaborate, Antimericia? How are the two parties not looking towards the future with eyes that are not rose-tinged, stupid?

And I don't see how the Republican party is looking through rose-colored glasses for the future. Those are the Democrats.

Republicans support the government not helping small businesses thrive, making businesses make their own decisions without getting in the way, complete free market, etc., to lower taxes, so as not to stick people's problems to everyone else. That's why Democrats border on socialism. Thus, the rose tinged-ness.

P.S. Who says "stupid" anymore?

Most people dont't even know where it stands on the issuses, its kind of unfortunate that the only well informed voters vote for 3rd parties. Im not saying they don't vote the 2 main ones, but for the average voter who does very little independent political research the probabilty of the voting 3rd party is virtually nothing.

Becouse if you vote for someone else than the "lesser of two evil's",
the "Worse of two evil's" might win.

That's really what's wrong with american democracy.

Green Party (Ralph Nader) - 2.74% (0)
Reform Party (Pat Buchanan) - 0.42% (0)
Libertarian (Harry Browne) - 0.36% (0)
Constitution (Howard Phillips) - 0.09% (0)

i dont think that 3.5% (which is what i believe they got last elections) is "virtually nothing". just 1.5% more they would get financial support. the reson why the average voter is not aware of where the party stands on some issues is because the press literally ignores them.

Could anyone clear this up for me? I want to end this damn two-party system more than anything, so since Nader is an independant, is he in an actual party? If he does receive 5% of the vote, does the independant party get funding? Or do the republicans and democrats keep their monopoly by saying you can't have an independant party? Just asking, because I think Nader will carry more votes than whoever is in the green party. He's been around more, and was brought to a semi-famous level by the 2000 elections. Thanks.
