Dick's Big Lie

Cheney said in the debate that he had never said Saddam and 9/11 were connected, and yet MSNBC dug up a tape where he most definitively did.

I see that, as the pundits ponder the closely fought debate, as being a mis-step as bad as Ford proclaiming that Eastern Europe was not under the domination of the Soviet Union. It will take a few days to trickle through the media, but it will gain momentum.

As a side note, according to Senator Leahy (the one Cheney told to go F himself,) Cheney almost never meets with anyone in the Senate other than the Republicans.

Makes perfect sense to me. After all, if you were a power-swilling demagogue with delusions of superiority over every member of every phylum on earth, including your own species, wouldn't you avoid meeting anyone other than the necessary sniveling minions? :headbang:

And has Cheney ever successfully convinced anyone that he's not a power-swilling demagogue with delusions of superiority? Isn't that what those who like him like about him? It's certainly what at least one of those who revile him reviles about him. :gundge:

And incidentally, didn't you have to just chuckle a bit when he admitted he wasn't aware of the fact black women in the U.S. are dying from AIDS in such disproportionate numbers to the rest of the populace? I mean, can you imagine him allowing any black woman other than the putative Leeza (Uncle Ben's) Rice within a thousand yards except to clean his toilet, to fetch his Journal, or to hound him on national television during a political campaign with -- from his point of view -- irrelevant statistics about inferior races? ;) And if it ain't in the Journal or a Mideast CIA report -- which you know it ain't -- how's he gonna ever hear about that sort of thing anyway? From Trent Lott? ;)

Putting words in his mouth doesn't help prove your point. You're predisposed to despise Cheney, so I guess it's fair game as far as your concerned

Cheney said he was unaware of the statistic that african americans were 13 times more likely to die from aids. I bet quite a few very intelligent and reasonable people did not know that particular fact.

And do you have any basis, other than your own hate laden emotion to justify your comments on Cheney's choice of domestic staff?
