What's your favorite news source?

Regarding both credability and relevance of the articles, what's your favorite news source? I consider CNN and MSNBC to be more reliable than Fox, but the information they present is still largely mindless drivel. Anyone know of a paper, network, or site out there that accurately presents information that I should actually care about?

BBC are usually pretty good, even if there is a slight right-wing slant to it. A local newspaper called DN is also good, but it has a slight left slant.

For the rest of my news I hang around a few BBS, including this one.

The Daily Show and MSN. MSN has more revalance but sometimes news can't be funny so that makes sense.

Daily Show for Credibility. I'm sorry but the Daily show is only independant News show that jokes about both sides.

Fox news rarely if ever talks bad about right.

CBS may be like FOX news for left but I never watch it. I just heard about memo scandal.

Indeed, BBC News is pretty good. Sometimes watch their tv channel BBC World. That local DN newspaper is pretty good too! Also buy Aftonbladet newspaper sometimes too. Also, Swedish Radio and Swedish TV news programmes.
Occasionally, hop over to the Washington Post website and CNN.com for differing view points.

I'm pretty sure I get BBC America. Does that have the same news as the regular BBC?

I read/watch the Beeb here (in the US), and find it to have a slight left-wing slant to it. :)

I also listen to NPR and watch MSNBC and CSPAN, especially on Sunday mornings when everyone and their brother calls in with their opinions. Reminds me why I love the Electoral College. ;-)

I've noticed most of the news outlets cite Reuters as a source fairly frequently. It's more credible than most, I take it?

BBC World (as seen on BBC America) and The Daily Show. Only 2 news programs I watch. The rest is through daily emails.

BBC covers stuff American news doesn't seem to think relevant, and the Daily show covers everything else and some really random stuff.

And as long as you take the Daily Show the way it's meant, it's a great and credible news source.

usenet newsgroups, in particular: alt.hacker, talk.politics.*

The radio, local stations: KFNX, KTAR, KFYI and their news affiliates: CBS, FOX, CNN, ABC, etc. The same networks that bring TV news, always seem to do a better job on the radio.

Web: www.yahoo.com and all the links I find there, on usenet, lewrockwell.com.

TV: The Daily Show. Actually, the best concise political coverage on TV.

seriously, Check one of the 500 other Israel threads where I pointed out the differences between two BBC articles so i'll just point out the differences for you.

Article 1) This was of the Be'er Sheba bus bombings, there were NO pictures of injured Israelis, the quotes were of Sharon saying that he'd kill any terrorists wherever they were, the one of the PA was that they condemned the attack and that Israel were making the peace process impossible.

Article 2) This was of the retaliatory strike where 14 militants were killed, or as the BBC put it "militants", plenty of pictures of injured palestinians, no mention of them training to kill Israelis. The quotes of Sharon saying that it was just the beginning and of Hamas saying that it was a scouts training camp.

I'll find the articles in the morning, because here it's 2:30AM so i'm out.

The nation of israel is a seperate entity from the jewish religion, being opposed to israeli policies is not anti-semitism. That jews are committing the atrocities of israel is not relevent, the point is that atrocities are being committed.
