NationStates has a policy of not allowing Swastikas and other Nazi logo's that are deemed offensive. Then why not ban Communists logo's too? The hammer and sickle is offensive to me! If you ban all extreme right wing logos then you must ban all extreme left wing logos too! Example being the old flag of the Soviet Union!

I don't see a problem in a swastika as your flag, the same with communist symbols.

Why? Because extreme republicanisme is quite fascist in the Italian Mussollini way and it is allowed to on NS.

Because Max Barry, owner of this site, has decided that he does not want swastikas on HIS site. No one cares what you find offensive. You are free to start your own forums where you can ban sickles and hammers all day long, but the fact remains that this is Max's site, and he can do nearly anything he damn well pleases with it, including banning swastikas but not Communist symbols. Complaining about it will change absolutely nothing. Until Max starts charging us for this game, we have little say in how things are run. I'd recommend getting over it.

It's not your site. You have NO power over ANYTHING that happens on it. Sure, it has a left-wing bias. Maybe that's because the guy who pays for all of this to happen is left-wing. It's his site, he can do as he pleases with it. If you don't like how the site is run, leave. It's that simple. I guarantee you we won't miss you.

You have to bear in mind that most communists belief in things which in my opinion are good. Racial equality, freedom and the chance to succeed if you work are all good ideas, while racial intolerance, being downtrodden are not. Remember also that stalin et al are not communists. They said they were, but that doesn't make it true.

Yes, they can, because Max hasn't specifically banned them from doing so. You seem to be missing the point. This isn't a public site or a commercial site. This is Max's private little shindig, and if you don't like what he's serving, the door is always open for you to walk out of.

it is very easy to understand why they don't allow that. The nazi's and the italian leader mousallini killed innocent jews and others all because of who they were between religion and between bodily figures. I agree with the fact that swasticas are not allowed because what they did was wrong and evil. :mp5: people who find that stuff okay honestly should be shot in the face and hung from their underwear on a lamp post. :sniper: But that is just me.

Eventually it will, when the ignorant ask the question "Does mercury taste good" or "What does this button do" one time too many.

Personally I think that if one is going to ban Nazi symbols one should ban Communist symbols too, as Communism has killed a lot more people than Nazism (Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etc.). And even today China still has those lovely "re-education through labor" camps. Maybe they are not true Communist states like some claim, but they are the most prominent examples of Communism in action the world has ever seen.

Of course, as other people have pointed out this decision is ultimately in the hands of the site's owner, so he can choose to ban whatever he pleases.
