Where do you get your online news?

What website(s) do you go to in order to fulfill your daily dose of news? And why? You can also highlight some good websites for similar things; the only point is that they be updated multiple times per day so bored people like myself have intelligent or humorous places to go to.

I check these daily or weekly:
Drudge (http://www.drudgereport.com/) for some of the fastest headlines - take him with a fairly biased grain of salt.

CNN (http://www.cnn.com/), the BBC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/), Google News (http://news.google.com/), and The Economist (http://economist.com/) for general news.

Mainichi Daily News (http://mdn.mainichi.co.jp/) and Japantoday.com (http://japantoday.com/) for "local" news.

The Brazosport Facts (http://www.thefacts.com/) and The Houston Chronicle (http://www.chron.com/) for home news.

Debka (http://debka.com/) and Al Jazeera (http://english.aljazeera.net/HomePage) for mid-east news.

Strategy Page (http://www.strategypage.com/) and Global Security (http://globalsecurity.org/) for military news and analysis.

(All that plus the print versions of The Daily Yomiuri and The International Herald Tribune every day, The Economist each week, and Wired and The Far Eastern Economic Review irregularly. And irregular viewings of the NHK news, CNN International, ABC, and the BBC, when I can on TV.)

Having looked that over, it appears one could go very wrong there. Not as wrong as some sources, but still...

Does the fact that saying Mainichi Daily News is incredibly redundant bug you too? It always bothers me, because in English it would be: "Daily Daily News" which makes no sense.

Yep, that's always a good laugh. The old Asahi Evening News was funny too: "The Morning Sun Evening News".

As one should. The reading of an actual printed newspaper should be encouraged. Which one(s) do you read?
