Why, do you actually want to vote for him or are a citizen concerned with the dominating 2 party system? I personally see him as a speed bump in the campaign to defeat George W. Bush and therefore am glad he is no on the ballot in battle ground states like New Mexico and Ohio.

He's not on the ballot in GA either, or several other states. For the most part, it is because he didn't meet the requirements to get on there. If you really want to vote for him, you can always do so with a write-in.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer (http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2004/09/29/loc_nader29.html) Nader is off the ballot because he did not have enough valid signatures to qualify. Of the 5,000 he needed, 2,756 were invalid while 3,708 were valid. No conspiracy to keep him down here--the Ohio SecState is a Republican who no doubt would have loved to have had Nader on the ballot in a swing state.

nader is back on the ballot in NM
the NM supreme court ruled that it was better to allow people a choice than to disallow a guy who is "pretending" to be independant. (in that he is running as a reform party candidate in some states)

I'm cool with that as long as he met the signature requirement. If he's lacking on that, then choice or not, he needs to be off the ballot. Nader's not above the law, no matter if the law is fucked up or not.

Your glad that some voters are being disenfranchised?

Least thats what the big scare word thrown out by the liberals was in the 2000 election. No matter what the reason, or what political party you side with it just plain sucks that people won't be able to vote for Nader if they chose to.

And its just silly to assume that people voting for Nader would vote for Kerry because Nader isn't on the ballot.

There's no rule that says they can't write Nader's name in on the ballot. They're not being disenfranchised per se. If Nader didn't qualify, he didn't qualify. But it looks like the New Mexico Supreme Court decided to let him on there. Their choice.

No, I was simply curious where the thread creator was coming from. It is still more likely they'll vote Kerry, give Nader is left wing.
