2) The infamous Osaka Loopline party (http://www.kansainow.com/2002loopline.html) on the 30th. Hundreds of crazed gaijin "rampaging" on Osaka's major public transportation.
3) Local bar costume party on Sunday night.
4) But best of all, a paying gig at a local shopping mall!

Will probably be sitting at home, watching all the halloween episodes of various American TV shows, that Australian TV likes to save up for that one night (on pay TV that is, free to air rarely gives a stuff).
With a bit of luck, one of the channels will show all the Simpsons halloween episodes, same as they did last year :D.

Agreed. I hate seeing people in cute costumes. When I hand out candy I base it on how scary the costume is. Cute costumes get a barely larger than a tic tac sized gumball. Costumes that are neither cute or scary get the same treatment. People that dress up in ghastly costumes get chocolate. While people who dress up in not quite scary, but at least you tried to dress up as something scary, get the next best thing.

I also hate it when the little ones look in their bag to see what they got. I need to start telling them that they‘ll be cursed or something. I should tell them that every time they look in their bag to see what they get, a demon will jump in their bag and make itself a home in the candy. So that when they eat it the demon will rob you of your ability to taste sweetness. And that over time, even the sweetest of candy will taste bitter and dull.

I love Halloween! We get to dress up at work so last year I was some kind of sex goddess! lol It was fun, I have a leather corset, black fishnets, stiletto heals, and I took my whip in to work except because it was work, I wore a black robe over my "costume"! It was fun, only a few people knew what I had on underneath it. http://www.ladymoiraine.com/modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_twisted.gif

Then the year before I got a knight's costume from Party City and I have the rabbit from Monty Python's Holy Grail (you know, the one with the "sharp pointy teeth"). I pinned the rabbit to my neck and also took my wooden broadsword I got from the Renaissance Fair. It was hysterical except the people I work with had not seen the movie so no one knew what I was! I went into Albertson's after work and a couple guys unloading the truck saw me and began laughing. They restored my faith in Monty Python fans!

("you're fighting a can of asparagus. normally, cans of asparagus aren't really that scary, but this one's got a knife!"). i'm going to be a pastamancer. i have a strainer as a hat, a wooden spoon, one of those fancy pasta things that look like spoons and have big teeth, and an apron. adventurers we will be!

I sometimes get ideas for halloween costumes but am always too lazy/noncrafty to make it happen.

Superheroes are always good, though. Not necessarily an actual superhero, per se. Like "Condom Man" or "Crapped In Pants Boy" and such.

You know whats a good costume, for you ladies out there? The Abortionator! Just get some chicken bones and some ground hamburger and tie it up and have it hanging haphazardly out. And wear one of those hospital gowns too for effect.

This year I will be probably dressing up as Drunk Partygoer. Works for me.
