Why Nader is Cool!

"You never know. Our problem is how to break up the two-party system, not how to concede to one or the other," he said.

Nader's potential swing role for the election spurred a California peace activist to pledge last week not to eat until Nov. 2 in an effort to persuade Nader to drop out of the race.

"We're sending him some carrot juice," Nader said Sunday.

Fights to keep Nader off the ballot are dispicable. I don't care if he steals votes from Kerry and allows Bush to win more easily. My homestate, New Mexico, just fought a battle over whether Nader could be on the ballot. The judge who at first ruled that he couldn't was found to have made a $1000 contribution to the Kerry campaign. Disgusting, and that's my own party I'm comdemning here...

I love the judge's reason too. Because he is on the party ticket under different partys in different states. Therefore, he cannot be an 'independent' in New Mexico.

Compeletly ignoring the fact that every state in the union has different campaign laws and different hoops to jump through, and for people like Nader, you have to take the path of least resistance in many states. Why? Because of dillhole judges like that!

Hehehe.

Seeing as I'm in Connecticut, and seeing as how my vote is worthless to Kerry and/or Bush(neither of which deserve it anyway), I will most likely vote for Nader.

If I were in a swing state, I'd have a tough time deciding what's more important: Bush losing, or voting for someone I trust. But I'm not. Only swing states matter. Good job keeping the playing field level, Electoral College! ;)

I just love the argument that Nader is "stealing" votes from John Kerry, because it implies that Kerry actually owns those votes.

Nader is a lying republican hack of the most degenerate, despicable kind.

He is complicit in every single one of the bush administration's crimes.

you guys are funny,

Because of Perot, Clinton won elections without ever getting 50% of the vote, but Perot was OK becvause he took votes from Bush 1/ Dole. Nader runs & takes votes from Gore/Kerry and you guys are having cows. :p

All the kids at my high school seem to think that Nader is going to win. The odd part is... my high school is mainly behind the democratic party. Odd huh?

Funny how the democrats whine and complain about the voter "fraud" that will happen on Nov 2, but don't seem to mind suppresing the rights of third party candidates (Nader). Where's the outrage from the democraps and republiscams? It's obvious from my perspective that these two parties have a total monopoly on politics, which needs to end. Keeping candidates off of state ballots using underhanded techniques is treason. Everyone has the right to run for President as long as you pass all of the criteria.

I'm a Republican and I think that is true.

the republiscams want to make it so bush will win at any cost, cuz thats the only damn way he'd win this, then again the republiscams are damn dense

and the democrats (democraps is far less intelligent than republicams, do something intelligent) at least are trying to keep nader off the ballot by pointing out the way he is getting on isnt legal alot of the time: fake signatures, random other republican scams to try and get him on

Nader has every right to be on the ballot, but I don't think any of the swing states should be voting third party right now. It's an honorable fight, but this is not the time!

Almost as bad as the union thugs intimidating voters huh?, Oops, they are democraps. Or having voters rise from their graves, illegal aliens voting, and of course telling old people the evil republiscams are going to take their checks away and have them eat dog food.

Bush has a better shot of winning this thing just because his base is behind him. Kerry does not have the democrat base behind him. It's all about anyone but Bush. Not a good position to be in this late in the race.

there is no democrat base, it is a group of ill pieced people who call themselves democrats but actually think when they vote people into office instad of blindly and ignorantly following party lines like the upper majority of the republicans who are uninformed or are just too stupid to pay attention

you gonna sit around citing crazy fringe groups who support certain candidates and use that endorsement as a reason not to vote for them? grow up

He's doing something that's well within his rights, and a heck of a job of it.

I may abhor certain policies but I admire his commitment just as much as I admired Perot and my personal favorite, the libertarian party.

Personally I want to see Mr. Badnarik hit 5%, get some government funding that puts him at least in a fighting position with the Repubs and Demos, and possibly have a chance to fix the damned country after the 2008 election.

Well, I have to admit that I'm not a fan of libertarianism, but neither am I a Bush zealot. I'm just a beat up old Vietnam veteran who hates Kerry with a passion! Heh!

I admire people who are trying to break the two party deathgrip, but it should be done realistically. There are 9 parties on the ballot for president in WA: democrat, republican, libertarian, workers world, green, socialist workers, constitution, socialist equality, independent (nader). A few of those parties could merge and acually have a chance of hitting 5%, but instead they are just 7 extra pages in the votes pamphlet.
