Amen. A typical beautiful idea screwed by those trying to implement it.

No. It was born evil, is evil now, and always will be evil.

I definatly do not like the UN; I belive the U.S should widthdraw from it. The UN is an anti-American organization. I watched some footage where a U.S representative was speaking, most of the delagates wearn't even paying atttention! They were looking around or looking down or whaterver. The UN won't even enforce its own resolutions; we have to do it for them. Definatly NO.

the same thing happened to the UN as did with America itself.

the original idea was and is good, but after time, corruption seeped in and now both are too full of politicians playing the system and not doing whats best. the only way to get anywhere in both areas is to say what everyone "wants to hear" and never stand up for what is truly the best thing to do.

It was set up to prevent wars and as a way to settle disputes between nations. Underneath, it was a tool against Communism. Communism is now gone, and the UN conflicts with the interests of an American hegemony. The US no longer needs the UN, and without the US the UN is impotent. So, basically put, its going the way of the League of NAtions: whenever the US doesn't need it, it disappears.

I actually see no difference at all in the two worlds.
