funny how the POLICE don't think there is evidence that this was politically motivated, yet you are so eager to jump on the Dems for denying it

Funny how you rush to blame Democrats for this, when...
1: Everybody with two brain cells to rub together knows that such a break-in will immediately attract attention to possible political motives.
2: The perpetrators didn't exactly go to any lengths to hide the fact that they'd broken in. They used a rock through the window, for Christ's sake.
3: The laptops held Bush's STATE campaign plans. Washington, last I looked, was not particularly a battleground state of any sort. It's part of that west-coast blue block.

Democrats would have nothing to gain by stealing those laptops. West-coast Republicans, if anyone, would have the most politically to gain, by casting doubt upon the Democrats where they're strong.

I'm not saying Republicans did it. The police said there was no evidence of political motivation, and I'll trust them.

I mean, it's not like there'd be ANY reason to steal unsecured laptops, except political gain. Of course not.

It was probably just probably some neurotic luberlib teenagers or the people that perpetrated the WTO riots. Therefore, it is logical to make the Dems make the people to cough them up.

Nevermind, it was Sasquatch! Sasquatch took them! :D

Your right, that is awfully predictable. What, you expected something else?

"Did you do it?" "Yes."

They're denying it, that means they MUST have been involved!

Lets be glad the police arn't complete STUPID FUCKING IDIOTS like you are.

Even as a republican, I will say that it looks staged.
The fact that the laptops were stolen is one issue.
The fact that the HQ was also "ransacked" to make it look like a burglary is suspicious. If the dems did it, they would snatch the computers and leave.

Then again, given the condition of the White House following the 2000 election, the Dems are known for malicious destruction as a political point.

The fact that they denied it show's their guilt just as much as Stones "no comment" about the CBS documents.

However, Goed knock off the insults as it only shows your inability to make a point without insults.

I think democratic party and it's representatives probably didn't have anything to do with it... as someone else pointed out, they really don't need it.

What I think is more likely is a bunch of radical idiotic democrat supporters... (again I stress, I don't think they have any connection to the actual democratic party).

One thing though, you people keep saying that the police say they don't think it's politically motivated. That's NOT what the article says the police said.

``No evidence at the scene indicated this was politically motivated,'' police spokeswoman Jessamyn Poling said.

"No evidence at the scene" is hardly the same as "we think"

Erm, what malicious destruction? Investigation of the "alleged" vandalism of the White House proved that there was no, and I repeat no, such vandalism of any kind. It was a cockamamey story invented by Karl Rove to get the public focused less on how the Republicans got into office than how damned dirty those Clinton staff workers were.

Which leads me to the next point: Washington is a thoroughly Democratic state. Karl Rove is a man known to have bugged his own office in order to get some political points for the man he was working for. As such, we have one suspect with nothing to gain from such a break in and everything to lose. Another suspect has both a great deal to gain and a history of doing such things before. You tell me who makes the better pick in the lineup.

Actually the dems who worked at the white house during the Clinton years did vandalise it just before Bush was Sworn in to office.
And Dems are also known for being very prone to violence.

Yeah, the police are famous for leaping to conclusions with no evidence.

In fact, the police regs usually say that if there is no evidence for something, then than thing must be 100% true.

 Yeah, and the Carter people were just as innocent in '81...

This is only the latest (though it probably isn't by now) in a string of violent acts against Republican facilities:

I saw that story myself Tuesday. But I do have a question! Has the samething happened to the Democrat HQ around the country too or just the Republican?

So far, I haven't heard of such a thing but I thought I pose the question.

BTW: Good job on the latest edition of the school Newspaper :)
