Reagan or Clinton?

Suppose Reagan were alive and Presidents were not limited to two terms and Reagan was young enough and didn't have Alzheimer's. Suppose, then, that he ran against Clinton. Who would you vote for?

Ooh, tough one. Clinton, I suppose. Could we have co-presidents?

Clinton, although I have a lot of respect for Reagan.

The reason I ask is because I hear Republicans talk about what a great economy Reagan gave us, and that it was Reagan, not Clinton, who gave us the nineties' prosperity, and Democrats say Reagan flushed the economy down the toilet and then Bill pulled it out and made things well again. It'll be interesting to see the Reaganites and Clintonites spar over this one.

Everyone loves Reagan :).

He's just an awesome guy.

Even though I disliked them both equally as politicians, at least Reagan was charismatic. Clinton is just creepy.

Clinton was great! One of the fab. 3 democrats for me. The other two being, FDR and JFK.

In my opinion, there's never been a good Republicon President, and there haven't been any good Democratic Presidents since Grover Cleveland.

One brought the Soviet Union to its knees and one brought a fat bird to her knees. Tough choice!

Ya, generally the President needs to be alive to run for re-election. I would vote for Clinton though.

He said "suppose Reagan were still alive," didn't he?

Clinton. He cheated on his wife and lied about it when it was pretty obvious. Thats the kind of thing that tells you that a politician is in touch with the average American.

Seriously though, Clinton. His beliefs are closer to mine than Reagan.

I've always loved Clinton from the very beginning, and even though Reagan did a lot, IMHO, I think Clinton did more for the future than Reagan ever did for the present.

Both of them had the foresight to get elected during economic upswings. Kudos to them.
