Who here is tired of seeing the Internet clogged with stuff about Bush and the US?

"OMG BUSH DESTROYED THE WORLD!"

"OMG KERRY DESTROYED THE WORLD!"

"OMG THE US IS EVIL!"

"OMG THE US IS HEAVEN!"

"OMG OIL!"

"OMG SADDAM!"

"OMG WMDS!"

:headbang:

Really, who cares? It's not like any of us can even do anything about it besides vote (if you're a US citizen) or post about it on an internet forum (if you're not).

Ever since 9/11, the Internet seems to have gone collectively berserk, and I for one am getting tired of it. I'm betting things will get even worse after the election since whoever wins, there will be huge flamewars about it.

Hell yes!!!

About time we people started speaking out against the idiots constantly speaking out about the USA, etc. Honestly, is there ntohing else you people can do? What are there no good mind numbing reality shows for you to watch? Or are there no problems in your own countries that you could worry about?

Wait about two months and the same people will be whining about how the new President isn't doing a good enough job...

Well that depends on if we get a new president, but you're right. People in general just like to bitch about something.

If you're sick of seeing things about Bush, why are you on the internet sites talking about it? Rather than telling people what they can and cannot talk about, try exercising your freedom not to listen. If it's on TV, you can change the channel. If it's on a web site, you can close the browser window. If it's in a newspaper, you can not buy it, or not read the article.

There are lots of things I don't want to see on the internet. I don't assume it's my place to tell the world what to discuss because of this.

The majority of posts pro-Bush/pro-Kerry/anti-Bush/anti-Kerry/independant I have seen so far were between US citizens. I am glad to chime in of course and add my 2 Euro cents. I just think that talking about the issues is the best we can do in democracies. If I see how the US think of themselves, arrogantly ignoring the rest of the world, then it is about time that the world speaks up and puts an end to it.

Except generally, I don't talk about it. This is one of the only times I've posted in General since I joined, since it has been a cesspool all that time.
