I would like to know if anyone here participates in a Marching Band at their school and if they go to state, Grand Nationals, and BOA or not.

Weeeeelllll....
I was in marching band the summer after 6th grade (high school marching band; I was one of 4 or 5 people from my grade in it). The director wanted more people in it for the 2000 4th of July parade in D.C. Then I was in band 7th grade, but not marching, and quit altogether after that (I moved, but didn't have any desire to be in band at my new school). The marching band thing wasn't so bad in and of itself, but the director was really anal-retentive, and a bit psychotic, so that sort of turned me off of the music thing.

My daughter is in her first year of marching band, so consider yourself spared from all the band geek jokes I may have possibly lobbed your way otherwise. :D

As far as I know we are going to BOA in Las Vegas.

You are correct. The Hoover Dam. A powerful tomb, indeed.

Nah, and especially not since I saw how the Korean Army marched in their parades....damn that's good form!

Sadly, my school has a pathetic marching band . . . . which is surprsing, because our contest band scores "1" (best) at the state contests, and many of our contest band members are in the marching band . . .

I suppose the marching band could be better if someone like me would get off their lazy arse and join up, but I don't like that kinda stuff.
