Why do some Easterners think all Westerners hate them?

I personally really like Ontario and Quebec. I mean, yes I'm an Albertan and proud to be but that doesn't mean I need to hate the East. The only province I remotely dislike is Manitoba and it's more of a personal reason than the province itself. My mom is actually from a town near Barrie and we often travel down to Ontario every summer. I'm far from hating the East.

Our country is very divided. West is very Conservative and the East very Liberal.

I'm from Quebec and I never thought westerners hated us. At least, not particularly more than most anglophone canadians, that is :-P
We just happen to have political views that oppose each other. You've got to admit that there's bound to be a lilttle conflict between a part of a country who votes massively to the left, and another who votes massively to the right.
