Nope we do not consider it a state. Its a capital district with no statehood. It has been tried numerous times since 1970 with its last big defeat in 93, I guess they all gave up on it finally. In the Constitution it gives Congress exclusive legislative jurisdiction over the District, along with the restriction of being less than 10 square miles.

Our DC license plates now read "taxation without representation" since our only congressional rep doesn't get a vote.

Or we could put Florida on all of them so that when the Floridians are confused, it won't really matter in the end.

Sorry about that. I always screw up around the I-L area. I wasn't sure how to do the poll (by region, or letter, or various other ways) so I just did it alphabetically because that is the way I have the states memorized.

Indiana, home of the worst nickname for state residents: "Hoosiers." Nothing at all to do here, although we do seem to have an unusually high number of celebrities from this region.
I'd like to comment that the poll options make no sense at all, why is Indiana in the same catagory as Hawaii, Idaho, and Kansas? At least Illinois is nearby...

The poll is alphabetical because that is the way I have the states memorized and I didn't feel like taking the time to sort them into regions.

Don't worry about it. Michagan sounds pretty close to how it is pronounced. Carlifornia, on the other, doesn't sound a thing like California, but it sounds damn funny to me so I'll let it fly.;)
