Global Domination

Why is it that conservatives, particularly the religious right, get all squeamish when they hear the word "globalization" and others discussing matters of the U.N. being in charge of anything? It seems that, to them, globalization is a satanic/Masonic plot unless of course it's America, American Corporations in particular, doing the globalizing.
I'm fairly new here, so I don't know if the PNAC has been discussed or not. It should be, everyday and by every citizen of this fine Republic.

Purly Euclid's The Pentagon's New Map thread touched on this theory. As you read the "Statement of Principles" please note the date this organization started. When finished, make sure you read the list of charter members at the bottom of the page. You'll see some very well-known people.

^It's spelled assimilated, and it means "made to be the same" (as us).

Personally, I think globalization has already gone too far. When a large corporation has a presence all over the world, there are two unpleasant (IMHO) consequences:

1. It makes it more difficult for smaller corporations to exist. This goes against the ideal of competition in free enterprise.

2. It can sometimes interfere with the culture of foreign nations by causing people to abandon traditions and ways of life that have endured for centuries and living in the same way we do in America. Such a needless loss of richness and diversity :(
