For the Bush Haters

If you are a progressive thinker (like myself):

Don't feel bad if Bush wins this election. Here's the skinny:

If Kerry wins, it's one small battle for progressive thinking. And if he is unable to turn the situation around, and the country falls into economic and social chaos, then him and the dem's will get the blame; ignoring the fact that only 12 of the last 36 years have been within a democratic presidents' hands. Regardless whether social collapse occurs or not, people in this country will not seek alternative enlightenment and switch their minds towards progressive thinking. (After all, this is the goal right? The future is approaching and societal changes require governmental adaptations to which a conservative thought can not address).

However, if Bush wins; that will be our victory day. You see, if this country loses all its allies (because Tony Blair WILL be replaced in May), and falls into economic and social anarchy (due to the increase in terrorism and lack of beneficial trade), people will be forced to alter their way of thinking, and more progressive policies will come out. This is always the case as you look through history. For example, Europe. Of course, it doesn't always stay that way; for example, Russia. However, it will be the strike the progressives have been looking for to turn the tide in their favor, abolish the 2-party system, and begin the period of enlightenment where education is promoted, knowledge of the rest of the world comes to the hands of the common people in the US, and arguments shall be original instead of regurgitation of Bill O'Reilly speeches, or just complete denial of the facts.

Of course, Bush could win and this country continues towards economic superiority and maintains its dominance over the rest of the world, terrorism is thwarted, and the US continues to thrive in its artificially created dream-world (artificially meaning the massive debt we have accumulated in the process; to which every american citizen now owes 80,000 dollars to pay off). However unlikely, the possibility would prove us wrong and everything is, indeed, as wonderful as possible. Which wouldn't be so bad either when you think of it.

So you see, regardless of the outcome, we shall prevail. And the US will benefit in the long run.

who are you kidding?

if bush wins and everything goes to hell in a handbasket, the democrats will be blamed, especially super political man John Kerry who is able to stop the full weight of congress with a single vote

That is kind of funny...

Though anyone who REALLY thinks the country "falls into economic and social anarchy" just because Bush gets another 4 years is an idiot. This country is FAR stronger and more resiliant than to allow any one man to do that in 4 years.... Come on, this isn't post-depression era Germany here....

It's gotta happen sometime.....
Or maybe it doesn't
But the problem is, this is the United States of Amnesia. Nobody recalls that the problem with terrorism today is due to Reagan's support of Hussein and Bin Laden in the 80's, to fight Iran and Russia respectively. Had Reagan minded his own business, both would have been defeated.
Would another had taken their place? Probably, like the Ayatollah perhaps. But it is ironic that we turn Reagan into an idolized martyr upon his death when at the same time we're fighting the same enemies and terrorists whom he sold weapons to. Weapons of mass destruction even.
Sometime the bottom will fall out, and I believe that when it does, people will begin to think differently. Much like what voyuerism said. And it's more likely that people will think differently if a Republican is in office than a democrat. Conservative thinking has dominated the last half century. Even democrats who were elected weren't really democrats. Look at Daschle, Lieberman, and even Clinton. Very conservative Dem's.
Perhaps an economic fall-out is just what this country needs to rebound and rethink what it's doing.

Global warming? Loss of the ozone. Chicken Little might have been partially right.

Wow, I have never seen so much exaggeration in a "serious" post before.

If Bush wins the next four years will be not be very good for the world, but it won't cause the US to collapse into either anarchy or dictatorship.

A major shift in American public thinking will occur in about 25 years. Before the Reagan presidency, Americans were fairly liberal. Now they are becoming more and more conservative. Looking at the 20th century, for the 50 years before the Reagan presidency, Americans were fairly liberal as I've said, and mostly elected Democrat presidents. It's a matter of generations. Before FDR, Americans were conservative. America is going through just another conservative phase.

Read first, post later. It will avoid me having to tell you that I already said that. Bush might cause economic fallout, maybe he won't.
Specifically

Of course, Bush could win and this country continues towards economic superiority and maintains its dominance over the rest of the world, terrorism is thwarted, and the US continues to thrive in its artificially created dream-world (artificially meaning the massive debt we have accumulated in the process; to which every american citizen now owes 80,000 dollars to pay off). Remember our discussion on Bin Laden and the Sudan and the bombing of Al Shifa.

Remember how I proved you were an idiot and you were going to go check your books and get back to me.

I'm still waiting.....

And what miraculous wonders will the people invaded by the yank hordes experience when Bush goes mongolian on our asses again?

If bush wins then the world will never be free for terrorism but if kerry wins then the world will eventually become a very safe place to live in.
