What time period would I best fit in. I don't like NONE of the PC(Political Correctness) it just seems moronic. And pirates were cool until they all died.

I don't suppose they ever were. It's the "wrong end of the telescope of history" thing, innit.

You should be in the 16-17 hundreds. You could kill all the indians and own all the blacks you like, and if you found out that somebody was a sodomite, damned if you couldn't shoot the evil doer.

Assuming I could avoid the Inquisition, somewhere during the age of chivalry, say about 1000-1300CE. I would have made an excellent (if dark) knight.

Now ... as for the time when I, personally, would fit in ... I think I'd have done very well in Britain around 400-500 CE. The Romans were gone, but left all their toys laying around.

I'd have found a nice abandoned fort, set up a colony, and fought off Berbers and Saxons.

It would have been fun.

I'm sorry, but modern day pirates would PWN the ones of yesteryear.

Why, you ask?

- Assault Rifles
- Motors and engines and propellers
- That's pretty much all you need

Or merely a sniper rifle and a rowboat.

Berbers???? That was an invasion of England I must have missed.

Anyway, the Romans didn't go. They just withdrew their legions. The Britons were Roman by then. And most of the legions were happily settled and living in the forts and were British, with British wives and British kids, so most of them didn't leave anyway. An independant Romanised Britain lasted a good 100+ years after the Romans left and even reconquered bits of France from the barbarians (see Brittany). Only after Arthur died in 520-ish did the Anglo-Saxon thing get out of control.

Erm, I was talking about my presonality with the stereotypical way of life and viewing the world (except I don't really think the world is flat and stuff like that)
