Improved Map of the United States
Attican Empire

After the failure of the last plan, I have revised it as such:
http://www.kuattech.com/iusa.png
Blue/Blau : United States of America - Complete Separation of Church and State. Religion is illegal in government.
Red/Rot : Christian States of America - Christianity is required by the state.
Green/Grun : Pacific States of America - whatever they want.
Yellow/Gelb : Cascadia - whatever they want.
Purple/Violet : Mormonia - Mormon Religion is required by state.
Orange/Orange : Confederation of America - States rights to the extreme... barely a coherent nation.
Cyan/Hochblau : Sunk under the ocean, because the hurricanes eroded the ground to below sea level.

Ok ... you seriously need to quit including Texas in the "Christian Redneck" states ... you obviously know nothing about Texas.
Make a new one and give Texas to the Native Americans since you haven't included any room for them in your map.

I don't get it. Why is Arizona and New Mexico of all states apart of the Pacific State?
You failed. Try again.

Or maybe you just shouldn't refer to them as "christian redneck" states

Why do you call the religion by the wrong name?
Its the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. We don't care if yu like a different name. We pefer LDS church if you must.
If we had a state we would call it something different than Mormonia.
And no we wouldn't require you to be that. We give a choice unlike Christians sometimes.
Remember Joseph Smith said at end of speech in early church: Good night pray over what I said. If God and you agree than see you again if not have a good life!"
Plus since we are heavy into military. America loses most of troops. And we demand use of the temples built in other states. If not the troops are used to take them back by force if neccessary. Payback for the mobs used against us in past :)

I think that California has far more in common with Oregon and Wahington than we do with Arizona and New Mexico. Maybe you should put all those desert states together with Texas and put the Pacific states (ones actually on the Pacific) together. Though if a split starts happening the "State of Jefferson" people would probably chunk out part of NorCal and southern Oregon for themselves.
I mean, you even gave Cali and the Oregon/Washington sect the same political description.
Has the South produced anything worthwhile in the past two hundred years?
egh. Go Pacific Rim.
Its the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.
That's a mouthful. LDS just sounds funny.
My Mormon friends don't mind being called Mormon.

As others have mentioned before, it would make more sense just to unite the whole left coast (Washington, Oregon and California) than to have New Mexico and Arizona be with CA. The Northeast is pretty much right, the Southeast is pretty much right, and Mormonia is definitely right. Nobody else wants them.
To BastardSword: We'll call you whatever we damn well choose. You're a lot less important than you think. I can assure you that most of the military is not mormon. And the couple mormon friends I have (believe it or not, I have a couple friends who are mormons) don't mind being called such.

Unless you're dead. Then you're free game.

My Mormon friends don't mind being called Mormon.
Neither do these various websites run by "the church":
- Mormon.org
- Mormon.com
Also, sites run by individual Mormons
- Mormon web ring (http://www.2think.org/hii/lds.shtml#top)
- lds-mormon.com
It would seem that, counter to our friend's claim, that there is diversity of opinion within his/her religious group as to how they feel about the name "Mormon".
We Californians would better off be our own country.
5th largest economy worldwide
L.A.X.

most populated U.S. state
And one hell of a canidate for Presidency

Why Florida gotta sink?!
It should be called REFLAND! LAND OF THE REFUGEES!
Sad, we're north, south, east, and west. We're the only normal state :p

Actualy, I would split California into two states, but that's just me (and a bunch of other people I know in beloved Northern California)

I propose the following alternate plan, posted by list because I am too damn lazy to post a picture with pretty colors.
United States of America - all of the original blue states plus West Virginia, Kentucky, and Missouri
Christian States of America - all of the original red states minus West Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma
Confederation of America - all of the original orange states plus Texas and Oklahoma, and minus Nevada
Pacific States of America - the greens, yellows, and Nevada
Mormon Nation of Deseret - Utah
Republic of Florida - Florida
Inuit Republic - Alaska
Kingdom of Hawaii - Hawaii
Another though I have is to merge the Confederation with the USA and PSA to keep it one nation, but for competitive balance and geographic convenience, I kept them separate nations.

Cool. Though Utah could remain its name. Or call it: New Zion or something like that. I think that would suit the church of latter days Saint more.

if they think any of the states ohio and west would be hostile to christianity. much more hostile to secularist types. we appreciate the need for separation of chuch and state, of course, but nowhere near the same mindset as the northeast, usually an explanation for a rude, stupid, loudmouth moron on the verge of an old school a#$ whippin' is "he's a new yorker" around here, lol......
and the midwest is also much more socially conservative than the northeast.
it would work, but there be allowances for states' rights, too, so there can be culturally different applications of laws, the northeast is way too government-centric for the midwest.....

That's wrong. Trust me, I live in Ohio, and it's the most conservative state you can think of.
