This whole "democracy" thing in the US is a joke, they critize almost every other country in the world, they still use a voting-system that was setup ages ago and both candidates are members of the same elite society: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/10/02/60minutes/main576332.shtml
Basically America is simply a third-world country... they should have a look at how things are run in Europe, people who vote here have a real choice.
If I look at Bush / Kerry, one would be "far-right" and the other would be "right"... to be honest I would vote right, but where are all the other parties??? How can a democracy function without other parties to keep the balance.

I was under the impression that there were dozens of other parties as well. Though not as well funded and organised as the main party.

The public is only aware of 2 parties and kept "dumb", this almost seems like the way things are run in some of the countries that America critices the most.
Sure... there are other parties, but since everything (including elections) in America revolves around money... they stand no chance because they can't afford as much media attention.

GWB wasn't in Skull and Bones. That's the society for the best and the brightest.
GWB's dad was.

"As opposite as George Bush and John Kerry may seem to be, they do share a common secret - one they've shared for decades, and one they will not share with the electorate.
The secret: details of their membership in Skull and Bones, the elite Yale University society whose members include some of the most powerful men of the 20th century."
Both Bush sr. and Bush are members.

Thats because you're looking at it from a point of view biased towards yourself. Towards most Americans its some form of Left/Right...

Here's how much secret societies mean. I'm in the same secret society as John Elway. Did that ever get me a tryout for the Broncos? No.

Who cares what group they were or are members of? In the US the reason you do not here much from the other parties is the dems and reps have been the major players in the senate and congress for so long that if these other parties canidates aren't as popular in the public eye their party decides to drop out of the running. I don't know where they get their info from but it always seems that when a canidate has fair chance they drop off the face of the earth. :headbang: Don't get me wrong I LOVE AMERICA but our government does some messed up stuff. I do agree somewhat with what you have to say I think that we could learn a thing or two from some of the many other countries out there. Our government is so concerned with helping others they have forgotten about helping ourselves. The drug abuse, lack of health care, starving children in our own backyards just to name a few.

I am really rather afraid of where America is going these days. Sorontar, expect me to be joining you in Europe as soon as I can afford it.
I joined Skull and Bones, a secret society, so secret I can't say anything more.
America has never been a democracy, it is a republic.

Antony C. Sutton, 1986, page 5-6, states: "Those on the inside know it as The Order. Others have known it for more than 150 years as Chapter 322 of a German secret society. More formally, for legal purposes, The Order was incorporated as The Russell Trust in 1856. It was also once known as the "Brotherhood of Death". Those who make light of it, or want to make fun of it, call it 'Skull & Bones', or just plain 'Bones'.
The Russell Trust i heard it said on NPR thursday or friday that the Russell Trust was the 5th wealthiest Corporate entity in the World.

Somehow I was reminded of this Monty Python scene where someone stands up and shouts "WE ARE ALL INDIVIDUALS" after a short pause one guy replies "I'M NOT!!" :)

I read somewhere they were modeled after the Bavarian Illuminati founded by Adam Weishaupt.
Does anyone else find the resemblance between the Skull& Bones symbol and that of the SS odd?

I guess you belong to the wrong secret society ;)
For example: President Bush has tapped five fellow Bonesmen to join his administration. Most recently, he selected William Donaldson, Skull and Bones 1953, the head of the Securities and Exchange Commission. Like the President, he's taken the Bones oath of silence.

And every vote for Nader is a vote for Bush... so people will think twice before voting for him.
