A simple tribute, and answer.

I walked into the hospital, white as a sheet. I was there to give my own lifes-blood for another who needed it more than I did. Sadly adults carry a viral factor that had to be tested for some my blood would not go where I intended it to go.

I the went with gramma, and mom to the infant ICU to see my nephew (by choice, not blood). I scrubbed up, and went into the ICU.

There lying in an incubator, was a little infant boy, born 3 1/2 month too soon. There I reached in and touched a little hand, that through out all the things against him in life, Grabbed for my finger. He missed and got the heart instead.

If anyone ever wants to know why, I am against abortion (not the right to have one, but the abortion itself), then I have an answer, and a tribute to JT: I have touched a hand, that was within the legal window to be aborted.

Women: you have the right to abort any fetus you may carry. Just be sure. The life you take may be your own.

I know how you feel about children Jim, and personally, I feel that its better to not bring a child into certain situations.

I feel basically the same way, though I don't have the person experience to back it up. A life is an amazing thing and ending a life, even if it's still inside of another is a terrible thing. I strongly believe that it is not the governments place to legislate the issue but I believe that in nearly every situation an abortion is the wrong choice.

The children do not ask to be born, especially early. Then, when they are here, they just wish to live. Not to dissimilar to the rest of us *full scowl*

My girlfriend was born 3 months premature, still within abortion limits. I understand where you are comin' from Big Jim P.

I wonder if a fertilized egg cell wants to live.

I doubt it could grab my finger.

What if someone was born 9 months premature?

Could we flush the little zygote down the toilet?

What about bringing children into a family situation that would become abusive?

Rape?

Incest?

Survival of the mother?

Arent these good reasons why abortion should be kept legal?

egh, I shouldn't have started it in your thread, there's like 3 other threads already debating the finer points.

I'll be on my merry way.

...

I'm happy for ya. There's not much else more beautiful in the world than creating life. :)
