I'm not posting this is moderation becuase it concerns General Forum posters. Also, this is not a recomendation, it is a suggestion. I am very sceptical of the idea myself.
What if we were to split the General forum into two-- a political one and a non-political one?
I seem to recall someone suggesting something along those lines, though I believe it was more specific - having a forum for religious or election debates, something like that. I had no problem with that. I have no problem with this.

A seperate forum for US election discussion would be great. For all of november the forums are going to be really, really shitty no matter who wins.

i dont see that it would be of any benefit

OH BOY! OH BOY!
I personally think 2 separate general forums could be a good thing. That way you could find a non-political or political thread more easily.
