I know the GOP lies, but whom do they think they're fooling this time?

You might be surprised at who would fall for this one...

Gah! How fun can it be to trick total imbeciles?!? It's tricking smart people that's really entertaining!

I mean, let's give this the slightest of though. Liberals believe very strongly in the first amendment. To the point of carrying the separation of church and state too far(in my opinion). Now, banning the bible would be a direct violation of that same First Amendment! DUH!

Oh I'm not surprised at all. I know the type of people who believe this.

Uhh, perhaps the mentally ill whose beliefs are so illusory they'd shrivel and die without their user's guide to psychopathy. :D

Actually, I think you meant to say "Did I not get this memo?" implies that, yes, in fact, you get the memo. As in "Did I not say 'Don't molest my hamster'? Did you not see the signs that said 'HANDS OFF THE HAMSTER'?"

I don't think that's very fair, or respectful. Although in my opinion, religions are crutches, we have to be tolerant of what people choose to believe. The only time I feel it's appropriate to take a stand is when they try to bring these beliefs into government, which is very, very, very wrong. Churches should stay out of government or be taxed.

I am not speaking of religoin in general or even Christiantity exclusively. What I am referring to is extrinsic religiosity which does have all the hallmarks of a mental disorder.

Alright, then that I agree with.

Feh. Why shouldn't we? The Bible's caused more deaths than any other book. It's obviously more dangerous than any Harry Potter book or anything. It's simply too dangerous to keep in society, and thus must be banned!!!

BEGIN COLLECTING FIREWOOD, FOR TODAY, WE BURN THIS CURSED BOOK!!!

(BTW, I'm kidding about all of the above)

Seriously though. I dont think it should be banned at all. I dont care how heretical, or risque, or violent, or even how racist a book is, it shouldn't be banned.

Oh god, Fox News. Don't even get me started. "Outfoxed (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0002HDXTQ/qid%3D1096147120/sr%3D11-1/ref%3Dsr%5F11%5F1/002-0966273-3221668)" is on it's way to my house right now. Has anyone seen it? Is it good?

I knew the republicans were liars, but this takes the cake. I really hope no one is stupid enough to take it seriously. I'm starting to expect the republicans to claim that the democrats want to make hentai required viewing in school.

Astheticly it's a pretty bland documentary, straight on shot, talking head interviews. Most of it's core is made up of 'anonymous interviewees,' which is understandable since they are still people trying to work in the industry, but the style starts to make you identify them as "DAT player" and so on. The graphic is the same throughout and the organization and presentation is a little bland.

Where it sings is the memo and, the really heavy hit, comes from the studies, like ratios of conservative to liberal experts and how those experts react to the way they are used. The actual analysis of what makes it on the screen, the kind of stuff you'd have to dedicate yourself to with an unreasonable commitment to come up with, that's the cincher. There is a more damning notion of what is at stake not just with FOX news (they are a leader) but corporate news in general comes from a segment in The Corporation. That one does a really good job of seperating people from the institution, that people involved aren't inherently evil. Though sometimes they are...its a good watch.

Yeah, it's good. The phrase "hoisted by their own petard" comes to mind.

Incertonia is right on that, they do make effective use of playing FOX against itself by showing FOX being FOX.
