THE SIMS 2

Who else here has been caught by the bug?

I find it's taking away from my NS-time. But, I personally no mind because it is amusing; especially when you can kill the people, and have your male sims get pregnant through alien sex! Now that was funny!

FYI -- this thread is ONLY FOR SIMS 2.

;) so, anyone else here plying it and have hints they'll share with others?

I know you can have gay sims! Simple, just have them hit on a member of the same sex! All my gay sims are girls so far; ironic since I'm a girl... Oh well.

If you go CTRL-SHIFT-C, you pull up the cheat console window. By typing Help you get a list of some cheats.

If you want to raise charisma, the mirror is your best friend. You can also change your sims' appearance.

If you have teenage sims, they can sneak out at about 11pm if they call a friend.

If you want to be abducted by aliens - do a LOT of stargazing at night...

Any more hints/cheats? ^_^

I got my Sim to the position of Mayor :D

It's possible to do in about 3 in-game weeks. You just need to really focus on your charisma, logic and a bit of creativity. The hardest part is getting and keeping all those friends.

I have my adult female sim up to junior executive in about 4 in game weeks - she has charisma, logic and we habe to work on creativity.

I heard somewhere that it doesn't have all the "Tamagotchi" aspects of the original (ie. you don't have to feed your Sims, take them to the toilet etc.).
Can anyone verify this or prove it wrong please?

They'll do it themselves if theyget hungry enough or need to go to the toilet badly, but it's better to get them to go when you want them to as it allows better control.
I find it easier to keep them happy than it was in the first one.

You do retain control over this. You do have to feed them if you want them to be happy. They do have an AI that ensures that they do feed themselves, sleep, bathe and use the bathroom.

My dad dropped it off on Friday when he visited me. I love the Sims. I have the Original PLUS all of the expansion packs.

I love this game more and can't wait for the expansion packs to come.
