Buells! Tell me what you think.
I want to know where your from, and if you like them. In America they get very little respect, but I think they are a GREAT bike, but I want to know what you think.

Yeah. If the liberal pinko commies would butt out of their plant floor, and the conservative pigs would leave the board of that plant, I'd be all for that bike. It's just all too biased now. Can't really say nuttin.
EDIT: And they look too japanese!

Um, ok. I think that was english, but I'm not sure yet. Good job, I hope those english classes are doing well for ya.

Sorry man. I was just following the (un)official NS code. Attack conservative or liberal side, whatever the subject.
About the bikes. They are really expensive here in Finland. I don't know anybody who would consider buying a Buell when they (almost) can get the original HD with the same price. Of course motorcycle sales are a bit hard in here because of the long winter. What stands is that they look all too Japanese - you could get a Jap bike with fraction of Buell cost. I know there is only so much you can do with 2 tires and a motor, but still...

No worries mate, I just wanted to know your opinion. I admit, they do look funny, but after riding one I change my mind. I'm not sure how much they cost in Finland, but there only about $10,500 for a top of the line Firebolt here. Thats about average for that type of bike, the jap bikes of the same class are mostly more expensive, and the europian bikes that I like (triumphs and ducks) are all even more.
I did not know yall shared the same view as we do of Japanese products. I thought it was just an american thing (Pearl harbor and all :-)
Good day to ya.

Okay. Thanks for the price info. Firebolt XB12R - 17 450 € here (Tax free, ex works:9980 €). Huge, HUGE taxes. I think you'd agree that's one helluva price. Jap bikes are cheaper here by far. People I know buy HDs with a little mileage, and convert them to...well... these fantasy bikes.
I never actually rode a Buell, but i know a HD importer here... and I was riding with him once... seems a good enough bike to me as far as I can tell.
EDIT: and we do share that view. All Jap motor vehicles are considered as 'ricecups' here

I agree, in that point. Sad really. It is a good bike. I wish it would sell better so the price would come down :-)

Isn't that the 1000 pounds man?
Isn't that the 1000 pounds man?
Um, I think were talking a different scale, yea. I think 1 pound is like 2.5 dollars, though I'm NOT sure.

I don't even think they look japanese anymore. They look all sci-fi weirdness. They don't have the heavy faring action of the sport bikes (which really isn't japanese, it's just that we don't produce sport bikes. Aprillas and Ducatis have similar farings, Ducati's just have that cool tucked pair of exhausts and v-twins that make them sound like monsters. Sweet...) But Buells have that off-set pair of headlights and piping that seems just strange, like the bikes have been stripped or something. I don't know how they handle or go, but anything this side of a scooter goes faster than my dated little Honda CB400, so I'm not going to cast asperssions from my glass house...

I read a lot of british car magazines and while I think the exchange rate hovers around 1.5, I noticed that what a car goes for in pounds it tend to go for in dollars. I don't know why that is, it just seems to be the case, even on collector cars. (It fueled this fantasy of mine of re-patriating british cars for the 50% profit. But that was a fantasy. Not only do I not have the seed money, it CAN'T be that simple (shipping probably kills most of it...)
anyway....
