This is a subject I haven't seen debated here, so let's give it a shot.

What does everyone here think about corporal punishment? Is it wrong, is it necessary, and why do you feel the way you feel?

What do you think about corporal punishments in schools?

I feel that corporal punishment by parents, as long as it doesn't involve excessive force, is appropiate in certain circumstnces( like in response to vandalism or fighting). The best form of corporal punishment, in my opinion, is a little smack on the wrist with a wooden wand. As for it being used in the schools, I feel that it is wrong because of the lack of due process and trial by a jury of the students peers. Under the current system, just like with capital punishment, innocent people can be punished unfairly.
