Yay, because thats my philosophy. Live is good no matter how badly off you are. Otherwise there would be a lot more suicides in the third world. Not that I'm saying we shouldn't help them, of course, they could use it.

This is not a simple black-and-white issue. I don't understand why you all cannot see that. There are the maybes, the probablys, the I-don't-think-sos, and the only-if-my-mother-says-it's-alrights. That said, I voted nay, and I think my reasons are obvious.

Nay. Why so pessimistic, you ask... *pause* Okay, so maybe you don't ask, but I'll tell you anyway. I don't see it as pessimism. I see it as caution. I don't want to go yaying about all over the place and forget to stop and nay once or twice. In raising children, for example, one must nay just as much as one yays. Since there was no option for yay AND nay, I went for the nay just in case that little rugrat was getting into something ;).

I like answering in the negative. Something about denying other people what they want makes me happy.

nay
It's always prudent to understand all the implication before saying yay. Once you said yay, you've got no choice but to go along with the plan.

True. But then it's just the same if you say nay.
Unless you change your mind.
In which case you would not have to go along with the plan. Or would you?
I'll just join in with the Germans, they invented an 'in between': Ja/Nein becomes Jein if you're not quite sure which one to choose ;)
