I am looking for a way to prevent world war. This could cause major damage. There needs to be another system other then the UN they help prevent this. Like a whole regien for this.

Preventing World War - wasn't this the UN's original purpose?

If the UN had real power and all members would reduce their national forces to build just one single international force, ther would be a chance.

a region like this would be hard to assemble it would have to have huge numbers of of people to put down any opposing force, but this in itself is contradictory, diplomacy is the only way to prevent war, using war would put one conflict to rest and cause many more.

So, how to stop further world wars:

1. Mass disarmarment.
2. Creation of a international military.
3. A mass genocide of the human race.

Any of those would probably work.

I think about this a lot. In many different ways this appeals to me and also scares me. I like the way it would provide a clean slate, but I hate the death toll. I'd like to hope that it wouldn't happen and currently, though I loathe them for 'policing (bullying) the world', America is, in my opinion, the best force for preventing world war. If anything big did happen they would be sure to start a small, preventitive war, however this could easily get out control.

The one thing that my mind keeps coming back to is a line from Terminator two:

John Connor: We won't make it, will we? <Watching two kids play soldiers> Humans I mean.
Terminator: Its in your nature to destroy yourselves.

This seems too true look at the world and look as our history and you can see its really a matter of time and, from my view, that time can be predicted to: "When ever the oil starts to run out". Anyone interested in seeing what happens then should go play Fallout 2. World war, like judgement day, cannot be stopped, only postponed and, other than the position the US current fulfills there is very little to be done.

Get rid of our armies and someone would rise up with an army to crush weakened forces. Grow our armies and war becomes inevitable. Outoing an earlier post which said 'Our generation needs a war', well, I'd have to disagree. But I do think we deserve one for our ignorance. Theres so many problems that need solving from conflicts to global warming, and nobody does shit about them.

Not unless the governments pool together can anythign be accomplished, and then only in the long run. Shame that we all already know they'll do it too late and probaly too little.

I find it sad that people, such as those here and on lots of other forums I check and read,are concerned with this problem. But nobody does anything about it.

THE REAL TOPIC HERE SHOULD BE:

WHAT CAN AVERAGE CITIZENS DO TO PREVENT WORLD WAR AND HOW WOULD WE GO ABOUT IT? An organised effort with specific objectives, not to ease present suffering, but to quell future suffering would work, even on a charitable basis. Paying negotiators and diplomats etc with donations to help stop any future wars. I think thats the best step, all we need is a leader with enough know-how and intiative to lead us. Any volunteers? (I'm being serious)

The UN would work a whole lot better if the US started to pay a little attension to their own creation.

First we need to estimate reasonable threats for a world war. Before we can solve the problem we must identify the problem

The elevated level of trade between the highly industrialized countries makes a world scale world unlikely. This simply not smart to bomb the guy makes your foo and buys your bar. Its bad for buisness.

That doesn't mean world war is completely unlikely. What could the reasons be?

1) Raw material. A has some foo that B needs to build bar. B sees A is not industrial enough to pose a threat and goes in. Unfortunately A has plenty of angry friends who are. This would be an escalating war.

2) Ideologi. A's are plain evil according to the B's and enough believe so to wage war. Along the way all of A's and B's friends are dragged into the frey.

3) History. A's grandfather killed B's grandfather who murdered A's cousins cattle who was wrongfully grazing on B's pastures. This would also be an escalating war.

Solutions:

Difficult.
1) will typically be done under pretense, such as removing a dictator or "assisting" with internal problems. It can only be solved by honouring UNs mandate to determine where the international society can and should intervene. Some form of legal embargo should be imposed on the perpetrator.

2) and 3) are beyond me. This kind of passion goes beyond my imagination. One can only hope that elevated trade and better life quality will eventually root out these primal emotions.

Ideas? Other casi bellorum?

exactly world war will not happen as long as the nuclear superpowers maintain strategic deterents stock piles and wepons ready to fire at a moments notice

Remember World War I? remember how Japan disobeyed the orders to weaken the Navy? and Everyone else weakened theres? I mean how do you know if the other guy is a reasonable man? he might be a Snake or a Back stabber you cannot trust other Humans in todays world(when Machines replace soldiers on the Front then you do not have to worry about deserters or Traitors) Machines obey without Question and take orders without hesitation,


and a International Army? come on! everyone wants there on defence not to rely on everyone for help(because one could attack him and he get help from his enemy) but his enemy withdrew his army from the International Military, as long as every leader remains untrustful of one another no one's going to dis-arm themselves and I mean NOBODY! just think about it, you can only trust your self and rely on your self(but when others offer aid do not turn them down if your in a terriable postition in a war)

we must prevent it. the UN may seem like they are trying to stop it, but there needs to be a stronger force out there. This is why I made the ARmed World Forces regien

I don't give a D@mn about Hiroshima or Nagasaki, besides it's was all Japans fault they took those bombs(they refused to surrender until the 2nd one was dropped so it was the Japs fault theyb lost millions of People)

The best way to prevent a world war is to systematically destroy every country which could potentially participate in one, were one to occur. :D
