What if the model being used to dissect Dan Rather and CBS News was applied to all of the corporate media for their coverage in the build up to the invasion of Iraq?

No, we mean stricter FCC rules on percentage of media ownership by region. The corporate-run mainstream media is too concentrated in it's ownership, cutting down on the number of different voices, thereby exaggerating whatever bias is held by those outlets we do hear.

Since the ultra-large media outlets are more concerned about the bottom line rather than factual and rigorously reviewed news items, ALL sides suffer, when it comes to good reporting.

As to whether the media has a left or right bias, my answer is this: It has a bias as to what is going to sell their product that week.

and that which is going to sell their product usually has an endorsement from some right-wing republican - leaving the media predominantly to the right of politics leaving indpenedent journalists with integrity such as greg palast inthe bottom pit of cencorship.

Well it would come out that the media just likes to put shocking things on the air and that Iraq is not as bad as its made out to be. I know a captain that works in Baghdad and a Coporal near the Mosul area and they both say thats its not as bad as its made out to be.
