For the rest of us who've never heard of him, wouldn't it have been wise to explain why this Brian person was a great man?

This morning Brian Clough passed away, RIP the greatest Football manager ever.
That he was, for both Forest and Derby, it is a black day for football fans everywhere, there is a dark cloud above his stand at the city ground, may he be remembered eternally.

Any by the way, don't forget there are a lot of Americans on this forum, so when you say "football," we automatically think of our football. :)

r.i.p Clough.
He was indeed a great manager... he managed to win the Champions cup twice. With Forest! And the league cup. Four times. Also with Forest.

Being from great britain, i know alot about football. However, to celebrate the life of a man who was only good at kicking a football is rather pointless. Dont get me wrong, a great guy, but certain ppl need to realise football doesnt rule the world.

No, it's in England. And Powdia, it isn't just about what he did in Football, it's the whole statement he made to the world. He was just so anti-political correctness it was incredable. Swearing on telly, Punching pitch invading fans, he did it all.
