Ooooh. I haven't played Magic in at lest 6 years. I don't even remember the lingo anymore.

We really have a scary amount in common. I ended up selling all my cards for $100, we both walked away from the deal thinking 'sucker'......

I actually gave mine away, just to be rid of the damn things. I think they're the reason I got a C in inorganic chemistry 2 instead of a B.

I wouldn't doubt it. For me it was sell 'em to that guy or line the VW with them. I couldn't keep up. Had to switch to Playstation to waste my time.

No kidding I could keep up. When they reissued the Lotuses I knew I was fucked and I dropped out of the scene. I had a massive green deck that was great for wearing opponents down if I could get them into a long drawn-out game--I could kill anyone if I got enough manna out.

I am such a dork.

When my buddy started putting together theme decks (my favorite being the skeet deck, it was full of spells that only effected flying creatures and spells that made creatures fly so he would make his opponents creatures fly and then hit them. Not terribly effective, but you gotta like the flare....) I knew I was in over my head. The best I was able to do was the wall of weenies, tons of monsters that took very little to summon.

Yeah, I'm a dork too. You should see my last documentary....

Hell, I knew people who made up their own cards--in one instance they made up cards with the characters from The Tick, (the cartoon, not the live action show). The Moth was a 0/1 flying creature who constantly whined or something like that.

Plus--may I add for my dorkiness credentials--I used to shop for my D&D stuff while a teenager at a place named "The Limited Wish."

I used to play when the first sets came out, after they started releasing new editions, new expansions, and constant talk of Tournys 6 states away, I quit. :mp5:
