The sad thing about Republicans...

You give them a truth, you then give them a source of the truth, links provided and all that proves the truth to be, well, true, and they still claim it's all lies.

Don't you just love their closedmindedness?

Maybe one of these days they'll get their heads out of their asses and join the rest of us in the real world.

why should they mess with the truth when lies work so well for them?

Denial to them is just a river in Egypt - that's if they know where Egypt it, or what it is ;)

After all, there is only America and not America.

Neither side is innocent of lying. Let's not pretend that Republicans are the Evil Empire and Democrats are the Jedi Order. Don't forget, Republican or Democrat, they're all still politicians.

Indeed! Choosing between Republican and Democract is choosing between the lesser of two evils. Would be nice if some of the 3rd parties were more prominant.

At a puppet show....

Man 1: I sympathize with the puppet on the left.

Man 2: I sympathize with the puppet on the right.

Man 3: Hey, wait! It's the same guy controlling both puppets!

Even minority parties are made up of politicians. None of them are above exaggeration in the pursuit of power.

You know whats so sad about Democrats?
Theyre too busy talking about how stupid the Republicans are to notice that we are about to close our nets and destroy them forever.

I was thinking of something more along the lines of Big Brother, but yours is good.

Yep, nothing like embracing fear and ignorance and setting progression back a few hundred years.

Hail democracy! :p haha and you call the US a democracy? That is one of the biggest lies the world ever produced.

Yup, people are much easier to control that way. Fear, ignorance, love of Big Brother, hatred of Eurasia and Eastasia.
B-B!

EDIT:
Roccan, were not a Democracy, were a Republic. We elect officials to do our voting for us. Democracy (well, true Democracy) is where everybody votes on everything...it would be nice, but like Communism, it wouldnt work.

He's sort of right you know. The success of Democracy is dependant on an knowledgable electorate, and the vast majority of society (let's face it) is quite ignorant and uninformed. It would essentually be mob rule and the minority would get no fair representation. Imagine if it were a society of wolves and sheep where the majority are wolves. The sheep would be f*cked.

Even if they were informed, it still wouldn't protect against the tyranny of the majority. I'll take a republic with minority rights protections any day of the week over a direct democracy.

What? Is Jesus going to destroy us? Is Pat Robertson going to become the Supreme Potenate of the world?

Especially since is was only five members of the SCOTUS that selected the president in 2000.

When will you people shut up about that?

I'll never shut up about that. By allowing the Supreme Court to stop the counting of the ballots in Florida, it took away our democracy, our ability for our voices to be heard.

You know damn well that if it happened the other way around, you'd be just as pissed as I am.
