flip-flop

Don't know if there hasn't been a thread on this or not, but here goes :)

Kerry has been accused of 'flip-flopping' a lot, but Bush&co are quite guilty of doing so themselves.

Some examples:

- prior to 9/11 Bush&co claimed that Saddam posed no treat to National Security but after 9/11... Yeah!!

- first Bush begged to be allowed to invade Iraq on the ground of Saddam being a treat to US safety and next it was because Saddam was a VERY BAD man who was being mean to the Iraqi. The same Iraqi who Bush suddenly wanted to enforce his own version of "freedom&democracy" on.

- First he goes "we won't invade if only Saddam unarms" and next "who cares if he unarms? we'll invade anyways unless he leaves Iraq in 24 hours!"

I'm certain there is a lot more that I haven't noticed or forgot.

There are much more bush flip flops on economic issues. None that I can think of at the top of my head.

You know what's funny?? On Bush's campaign website, there is a link to a game called the "kerry flip flopping olympics". Quite amusing.

Oh that is such bull! His opinions changed because either his rational had proven to be unfounded and / or because he needed an excuse for coming back on his word.

Here's one:

Pre-election Bush - gay marriage is a state's rights issue and the federal government should stay out of it.

Here, a state government decides to allow gay marriage

New Bush - Oh my God! We have to protect ourselves from the evil gays! Let's pass a *federal* amendment banning gay marraige!

A state court decided to allow homosexual marriage. Don't confuse yourself!

I know I can trust Bush. I think Kerry just wants to be President so he can have his own house.
