I'm just curious to see what movies were liked and what movies were disliked. Was there any movie that you hated? Any that you Loved??

Hero(which came out recently-not this summer) was pretty kickass
The Village was pretty good- the end threw me for a loop
Man On Fire was a good movie... but I like most of Denzel's movies..
Scooby Doo 2 was horrible-saw it at the drive-in, double flick w/ Man on Fire. I swear I lost IQ points watching this movie. ;)
I'm gonna go check out Sky Captain tonight...anyone ck that one out yet? TG me and let me know how it is....
two words... "Napoleon Dynamite"
I didn't think movies got that funny.

None of them.
Only indies are any good these days, and they're not promoted well so I usually don't see them until months or years after their release.
However, I'm thinking of going to see Resident Evil: Apocalypse. I liked the first one (Milla, baby!). Anyone seen the new one yet?

Hero was awesome! I saw it twice and loved it both times! It was phenominal.

I can't wait til it comes out on DVD.. The fight scene between the two chicks was pretty awesome. I thought it was a complete kickass movie. I didn't realize it was gonna be all in subtitles....I wouldn't have gotten nachos...I missed a couple of things during the movies cause the subtitles were going so fast as I was trying not to get hot nacho cheese all over myself... :( But it's definitely a movie I'd go and see again and again..and again..and again... :D
Cannot think of a name

I have some friends who have had Hero for a while as an import, the movie has been out for a while.
I loathed, loathed is say, AvP......good lord that was horrible. I-I can't even-......ugh.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say, even though I haven't seen it, Sky Captain and the World of Tommorrow, or as my friend calls it "Hey CToaN, (well, he uses my real name-but you get the idea) Watch this movie!" Here's why-
I own 2/3rds of the original Shadow radio broadcasts and a collection of other programs like Arch Oblers 'Lights Out Everybody' (which has one of the coolest openings in radio) and spend a lot of time listening to old radio online. I love retro-scifi, back when the how didn't matter, only the why. The asthetic appeals to me greatly. And the notion of taking the new methodoligy to tell an old story-fantastic. What's better? This:
This guys next film is Edgar Rice Burroughs' The Princess of Mars (http://imdb.com/title/tt0401729/)!!!!!! John Carter flying wooden airborne ship through ether to Mars and Venus! Watch Sky Captain so that this next film gets made!!! Do it for me!!!

My favorite of the summer was Saved! Wickedly funny and biting, and complex. It wasn't a "church is bad" movie, which is how it got labelled--it's was a nice stiletto thrust at a particular group of "christians."

Was "Troy" considered a summer movie? If so, then that, even though it was a massacre of the Iliad.

yah, when i heard it was a Quentin Tarantino movie, I got all excited..I thought Kill Bill was pretty good...Kill Bill 2 wasn't bad either... then i found out that it was originally released in Japan or China two years ago...and then brought here...so it's not a movie actually made by Quentin....I thought about trying to get the import, but I'll just wait for the DVD release in the states...

I've been reading alot of the reviews on the movie...alot of people have been liking it. My fiance listens to NPR and all the old broadcasts..I for some reason just can't get into them. But thanks for the input.. :D
