This new monstrosity makes me sick, and I thought that new Hummer H2 was bad. I'm glad Navistar only plans on selling 50 this year, but for me, even 50 is too much. What does everyone think?

However, I still don't see the point to something like that. But hey, people are stupid, and have to spend there money on something. I wouldn't mind getting the commission on selling one of those things.

I think people should be allowed to spend their money on whatever they please - no matter how foolish it may seem to me.

=.=; ah shit, how utterly tasteless! That ought to be removed from the market with the rest of the SUV family and the mini-van set...

I agree with the people saying who cares. If someone wants to blow a 100 grand on some dumb miniture semi truck then more power to them. I may get one so I can pull my lawnmower around. Yea right lol

This is true. We do live in a captialist market where people are free to sell and buy pretty much whatever they want. But you gotta think about how much that things pollutes. I know that sounds "hippie", but seriously. 6 to 8 miles per gallon, running on diesel fuel. That's like a dumptruck rolling up to drop the kids off at soccer practice. I mean, when will the automakers just step back and think "you know, maybe this thing is TOO big"?

I would love one except for the fact that its ugly but I know someone that is getting one.

When the people stop asking for bigger...bigger....bigger.....bigger........bigger........bigger........bigger

Why does it matter if someone wants to pay the gas mileage on it let them.

A while ago I had an idea for a spoof ad for selling dump trucks to families tagging it with "It's only a matter of time." I should have done it, I would have been profetic....

Yeah, it is hideous, but at least the dumbasses who buy it will be out $100k, and have to pay out the ass for fuel. I can kind of understand buying one if you have to haul REALLY heavy loads ALL the time, but they seem to be marketing it as just another penismobile.

That is just so American. When will people realise that energy efficiency is an issue of national survival, not just one of abstract ideology? That kind of wasteful and irresponsible approach to energy management is doing a great deal to strengthen the emerging forces that are now threatening the West. People who buy stuff like that are part of the problem.

6-8 miles per gallon with diesel. that is really bad. Considering that a F-350 or other full sized pickup with a diesel will get around 30. It is very wasteful and whoever buys it (to quote Shrek) is certainly compensating for something. I think peopel need to be more pragmatic when they buy vehicles. Get what you need. I remember the 80's noone had a SUV. Most of the cars were much more practical. There were tiny pickup trucks good enough to get a couch at the furniture store but not some giant behemoth.

As said numerous times before, need has nothing to do with it.
Why does it offend people that others choose to spend their (their, not your) money on something? Why do so many people feel that they know what's best for everyone else? Why do so many people wish to impose their values on other people?

I agree, some sports cars get less than 10 mpg. Some 4 banger toyota trucks with big tires get less than 10 mpg. It is up to people to decide what they want.

I think people are complaining because stuff like this is an unjustified squandering of the earth's limited resources. There are more and more luxury items and at the same time more and more starving poor people, and the fact that they both compete for resources at a worldwide level.....

Basically: This confirms the popular belief that its just fine to let everyone else rot in a hellish dead-end life, so long as you are happy.

I like my litle trucklet, my 1983 El-Camino is a custom machine, pretty and tuned for performance, it has a bed bigger than some new "trucks" and can haul in ways they can only dream of. :D
