My northern brothers and sisters, it came to me while reading the thread "United States of Europe". That we do not have to comply with EU, we can make our own future. Many years ago Sweden held a prominent position, with the help of our Finnish brothers and sisters. It can be again, join me under the color of the proud Swedish flag, lets face it finns. You had it much better under swedish rule, and now that we both are so advanced in the mobile phone area. We should pool our resources, (the phones can be called Nokisson or something). Together we can take back the land from the norse and russians, reclaim the lands of Estonia,Latvia,Lithuania,Germany and Poland. Once we are strong we can claim Wineland (USA is such a silly name, lets call it by it's rightful name). Even once again make the britons quake in their boots at the sight of our long boats, join me now brother and sisters.

And lets be glorious together under one Swedish rule..

Kind of off topic but here goes anyway. Ericsson mobile phones aren't that advanced from what I've seen. I work in telecom, and we can barely give them away. People don't like the style, features, or performance. Nokia, on the other hand, is always a brisk seller.

Thats one of the resons to make this glorious alliance, the finns and swedes have the know how. Just imagen what could be done if Nokia and Ericsson where merged..

I have to say this is one of the brightest ideas i have seen in this forum (you may interpret that as you may).

When forming a single unit, we don't have to bother ourselves with all these petty EU vs. USA threads when we visit this site. Let's face it... in those discussions EU is just France, Germany and GB... and sometimes Poland (psst, for oldtimes sake, would it be possible we invaded Poland the first thing we do? That would be great for the morale of the new unit... and would bring up fond memories from centuries back...).

No, after Kristina abdicated Sweden kinda lost its position as a superpower. Well, it lost that position in 1632 or 1633 (can't remember) when Gustavus Adolphus was killed at Lutzen. During Karl XII's time there was something of a military renewal, but hardly enough to bring its borders to the Black Sea.

And since Sweden hasn't fought a war since 1814, I don't think anyone during those 190 years has wanted to bring Sweden's borders to the Black Sea either. At least not anyone in power.

No where did you get that from? :), It would be a blast to reclaim all that was lost. When one bungeld in Lützen and then another made a mess in Norway, Kristina pretty much killed the hole swedish empire thing.

I wouldn't know R.Yorkshire. I went through my 11 months military training wayyy back in the middle ages, but I'm not into military issues. I bet some military genius will pop in and fill you in though...

Dunno... 82% of the guys do it, and the rest do it in hospitals and universities and such. I think that will change in 14 days when the new Swedish-Finnish constitution is adopted...?
