Life. life is a never ending race. Childhood spent dreaming of things to come. Our attention is unreservedly focused on what will be. As adults; all we can do is live in the past. Dreams shift from goals you strived to achieve. To the choices you made, and opportunities lost.Gaze to the past and uncover all truth. I find lies and forgotten secrets loitering amongst the wreckage of my life. As I look back on the opportunities that I had. my thoughts shift to a time when I was a child. my bed, would come to life. at first the "creats" (they inhabited the bed.) lived very wonderful life's. they welcomed me with open arms. I was fooled into thinking they were my friends, but they all turned on me. staring at me with dead wooden eyes...this was the first time I felt the presence. it almost seems as if it was another life. As much as I love who I have come to be, my hate is stronger. Hate of myself, of you, and the rest of the this planet Earth. Eternity is mine. lost in my memories. forced to see. My head thrown back. This life stalks my humanity.I lay paralyzed wanting only to die, or go home.

A word of advice: opium. Seriously, dude. You'll probably want to start smoking weed to, and get a girlfriend, although not one your too serious about, and take a vacation if you can afford it. Now, I know I wasn't rating what you said per se, but it'd be awfully nice if I got a cookie anyway...

My take on that self-indulgant piece of drivel?
I don't care how old you are - if all you can do is give up on dreams and goals and wallow in misery and the past then you are in pretty sad shape.
I don't care how old I am, there will always be things to plan for, places to go, goals to acheive, and memories to cherish (not to regret). At some point that will probably devolve to the simple goal of still being alive in the morning, places to go including long, adventuresome treks down the hall to the bathroom, and the like - but the simple fact is that your enjoyment of your life can be distilled to one single word: Attitude.
If you want to be miserabe - be miserable. IF you want to be happy - be happy. It really is a simple as that. You just have to choose to search for the positives in your life, and also to dedicate yourself to dealing with the negatives constructively.
But don't whine about being miserable to the rest of us. Being that way is your choice and yours alone.

What kind of cookie? I prefer chocolate chip, but peanut butter cookies are really good if they're soft. :)
