The Biggest Librals of them all

I've been wondering lately - the conservative party line seems to be that all those folks who want to give rights and support to people that many do not like (gays and the poor for instace) and don't want the children of our country to be praying in public school are "unpatriotic" and evil. And, if that is the case, what do they think of the Founding Fathers?
I mean, in a time of state religions and "taxation without representation" and all that jazz, they had some REALLY libral views. Shoot, the Ruplicans in the white house right now don't even like the first amendment! (Patriot act). But the Founding Fathers were all about giving rights to people that had never had so much freedom. Granted, they didnt do anything about slavery or women's rights, but for the times... dang!
Then again, mabye their biggest crime was fighting agaist the origianal "King George"

Your point is oversimplistic. The Founding Fathers didn't have a single point of view they all agreed upon. In fact, many Founding Fathers feared democracy in its truest form because they believed it would lead to mob rule. Some Founding Fathers didn't really like slavery, some obviously did. The Founding Fathers had different views on state rights, democracy, the people's right to overthrow the government, slavery, and the economy.
Our entire system of government was due to these disparate opinions and the compromises necessary to create a functioning system.
As the years go on, eventually the conservatives adopt the liberal views, and then attack the new liberal views.
Look at, interracial marriage. Now it's gay marriage.

That's an interesting take on the Conservatives...So, they don't fully oppose liberal causes, they just oppose them for awhile, then move forward...Maybe their just "Developmentally Disabled"?
Rather, I would say liberals turn into conservatives as they age.
Old men who smoked weed in their youth now advocate mandatory jail time for first time marijuana offenders.
You can call it hypocrisy, or just the natural order of things.

Good call. They're flipfloppers, just takes 'em longer! ;)

Eventually, the conservatives will get old and die, and the liberals will get old and turn into conservatives, and try to pass an amendment banning human cloning...and the new breed of liberals will shoot it down.

By the definition of the word "Conservative" yes. By party affiliation with "The Conservatives" then no, not all Conservatives opposed interracial marriage.
