I am a conservative

I am a conservative, and that will never change. I benefitted greatly from the Bush tax cut, and my own private enterprises boomed after Clinton left office( Im not sure if it was because Clinton left office, but Ill go ahead and make the assumption that it was). Thanks to Bush, I made $1.8 Million last year.
I oppose Gay marriages, though I dont mind civil unions, And i do beleive that affirmative action is reverse discrimination. I donate to the republican party and to the christian Coalition. It has beeen this way for 30 years now.
I have read every Publication by Anne Coulter, and my coffee mug and mousepad read "the O'reily factor"

I voted for Bush the first time, but the walls of hell will be paved with Ice before I do that again.

Because a mans life cannot have a price put on it. Because he lied to us more than Clinton. Because not long ago, I had to do what no parent should ever have to do.

My son was a Penstate graduate, my daughter a future NYU student. They were brilliant, talented kids, they had a brilliant future ahead of them.

And not long ago, I had to bury them both.

They left for Iraq to "defend their country". I tried to stop them. I shouldve tried harder.

My wife had been on that plane that went into the pentagon. My children were all I had left. It took the death of them to open my eyes. George Bush is not the good, christian man I beleived him to be. He is a greedy monster, sacrificing thousands of lives-American and iraqi- to gain money for himself, his dad, and all of his damn pro-government lackeys while John Ashcroft guts our constitution in the name of "homeland security".

There is an 8th layer of hell, reserved for men like him.

It saddens me to hear about your children. I wish you the greatest luck in dealing with that. Especially since one of them was a fellow Penn Stater...

I too am largely conservative, although on the friendlier side of the conservative spectrum, not the freedom-taking, christianity-imposing, war-mongering side (although i admit i consider war a legitimate means in some cases, such as legitimate self-defense). It doesn't make any sense though for them to have given up in Afghanistan with the pursuit of Bin Laden and jumped to Iraq at the time that they did.

Anyhow, I hope you find peace with your losses.

I was feeling very sorry for your loss, then I read your post again and realized you don't consider homosexuals to be of equal value to yourself. How's that elitism working out for you?

Wow.

First, I'm really sorry you had to lose your family in the past three years. Nobody should have to suffer the death of a loved one, let alone three of them.

Secondly, your statement is very powerful. It is definately going in my hall of fame folder.

Third, I expected to come to this thread to contradict pro-Bush propaganda. It's nice to see there are still conservatives out there who go with what they think is right instead of assuming Republican is right. (I'll admit liberals are no better!)

Fourth, I'll warn it may be very insensitive, I'm not sure. Why don't you make your loss known on more commonly used forums, or contact a campaign group? Your story would be leaps and bounds toward toppling Bush.

Finally, I hope things improve for you in life in general.

I feel for you, and am glad that yet another person has been won over to the Kerry side, although I regret what it cost you.

If in fact this is factual (I dont believe much from what people say they are, were or want to be. especially on the net). I am very sorry for the losses and very appreciative for what they died for. Every freedom loving person.

You still base your complaint on feelings. I know they are why many of us base our beliefs. That does not however change anything outside of the person feeling those feelings unless another chooses to let it. I can only hope that if you are in the truth, you wont judge the daughter and son for volunteering (when we say that oath we give our life if need be) to give their life for something you may not agree on. The wife did not get a choice to volunteer or not, that is reason enough to destroy each and every person with a mindset to do harm to America. The terrorists took her life without her freewill to volunteer for anything in the process.

You know what crackpie, what you have done here is just wrong. Thus, I'm using my judgement to out you. How can you be taking Latin in school and also lost your wife and two kids? This is bullshit and I say shame on you for doing such a thing. You may be conservative, you may not be, I don't care, this is bullshit and there are actually people on this forum who did lose friends and loved ones in Iraq/Afghanistan and on 9/11 and for you to do this is , I have no words. Consider yourself warned!
