Just in: Bush has won the election!!!

Longtime Democratic insider Tony Coelho lashed out at the John Kerry presidential campaign, characterizing it as a campaign in chaos. With yet another appointment of a former Clinton administration staffer to Kerry’s team on Tuesday, Coelho argues the problem is worsening.

“There is nobody in charge and you have these two teams that are generally not talking to each other,” says Coehlo, who ran Al Gore's campaign early in the 2000 presidential race. As Coelho and other detractors see it, there is a civil war within the Kerry campaign.

I figured if I used a top Democratic official to tell the story you might find it more credible, unlike using James Carville to prove that G. W. Bush is a Nazi. For that matter, Dan RAther to prove that he didn't ever join the ANG, and was actually in Russia doing meth or some other conspiracy theory.

“Here are two groups that have never gotten along and have fought, and it is a lot over money,” says Coehlo. "Because in the Democratic Party the consultants get paid for the creation and the placement of [advertising]. Republicans only pay you for the creation.”

And Coelho adds that the Kerry campaign staffers “are in serious trouble now, so they want to bring in the Clinton people.”

The Democratic scuttlebutt has long been filled with concern over Shrum’s losing streak. He remains 0 for 7 in presidential elections, from George McGovern to Michael Dukakis to Al Gore. When Coelho resigned as chairman of the Gore campaign, Shrum, in large part, took the reins.

“What I’m looking for is a Karl Rove and I don’t know where our Karl Rove is.” Coelho says. “I think Sasso is a Karl Rove. I’m very high on Sasso because I don’t think he plays Machiavellian games. I think he very sincerely wants to win. I think he is very big on Kerry. And I think he’s tough enough to say, ‘Goddammit, come together.’”

Sources inside the Kerry campaign say the Democratic nominee was fuming that his advisers told him to ignore charges by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth that Kerry lied about his war record and betrayed fellow veterans by testifying to Congress about alleged atrocities committed by U.S. soldiers.

I swear I heard him deny it though. Somewhere in all of the month of August he said "Nu uh," atleast once.

“If [Sasso] is in charge then Goddammit, say it and stop having the speculation of who's in charge because that’s worse,” Coelho says. “It also starts to impact in regard to the whole image of leadership. If someone can’t control a message in a presidential campaign, how are you going to be a good president?”

As I pointed out clearly, that was one of your Democratic leaders, not a Bushies by any stretch. I'd be more concerned that your people running your political machine are already greasing up the gears of LOSER!!!!!

I hope you appreciate this as satire, not as a personal attack. The silly nature of it should be made apparent by my use of the phrase "stench-filled faux forest creature."

But one of the "fundamentals" worrying Democrats are the results of the question, "Do you think the country is going in the right direction or is it on the wrong track?" This summer the right-direction numbers started to rise and that spells trouble for a candidate preaching change. (As a sign of how desperate Democrats have become, this week one media consultant said wistfully that maybe one more hurricane in Florida might turn those right direction-wrong track numbers around and give Kerry a fighting chance in the not-so-sunny state. But then all the federal aid and the name Jeb Bush came to mind and the Democrat got wistful. "He’s really been doing a very good job dealing with that hurricane stuff. That can’t be good for us. Sigh…"

Damn liberal media

Well, you must admit, it is pretty hard for them to spin the numbers for Kerry right now. I think if I ran over my neighbors cat tomorrow I would still be more popular than Kerry would be, and she is black lol.

(Don't get all flustered, we all know blacks voted over 90% for Gore. As of yet, it isn't a crime to say the word "black", although I wouldn't be surprised if Kerry won)

You mean Bush is going to win. We are speaking about the future and not the past.
After all: elections are finally decided on election day and not earlier, though I also assume a Bush victory.

To put this election to bed, Bush has to win Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. If Kerry can win two of those three, he can pretty much put it to bed. If Kerry gets exactly one, this will be another cliffhanger (although Colorado might be the hanging chad of 2004).

Seeing as every single state I've just mentioned (with the exception of Ohio, which is far from a landslide) has been consistently polling with each candidate within the margin of error, we all need to start carefully pouring the champagne back into the bottle.

Apparently his inability to form a coherent sentence doesn't hurt his chances at all, then?

Well, I live in Colorado, and Kerry has a snowballs chance in hell of winning this state. Are you serious? They always list us as a swing state for some ungodly reason, and Republicans win by a landslide everytime.

We have towns by the name of Rifle, Leadville, South Park, Durango. This is the Wild West, and as I look around, the second I step out of the urban sprawl everyone has a can, a truck, and a hunting dog. The fly fishing poles are hanging in the back of the truck, and in the bar all they talk about is sports and how we are going to kick the shit out of the dims.

I'll take bets now from anyone that Kerry doesn't come within 10 points in this state for the Presidency, governor or senate seat up for grabs.

I know the libs will hold us as a white state until it is over, but the reality is, every one of the pollsters knows we are not a Kerry state. I don't know why Bush wastes time and money to come here. Oh I know, because Cheney has roots here, and Kerry was born about 10 miles from where I live. Nobody here even thinks of Kerry as a native of Colorado, he forgot all about us when he became an eastern boy, never came back.

Actually, they allowed him plenty of funny gaffs debating Gore. I think people identify with him better when he smiles, chuckles, then says something like nuculur war is what it's all about, know what I'm saying, yuuuck yuuuck yuuuck...that guy over there...he an A! asshole...Muhahahaha

Poeple found that hilarious, contrasted with Kerry falling on the slopes and calling the Secret Service Agent an asshole, and he never falls down. I'd party with Bush before Kerry lol

So we see here that you also lack the ability to form a coherent sentence. I'm sensing a pattern here. :D

Polls seem to say otherwise, but that's not the biggest issue here. Colorado is voting on a ballot initiative to split its electoral college vote; Bush might win Colorado, but only gain 5 of its electoral college votes (and yes, I've done the math; there are scenarios where that affects the election).

As for "a landslide everytime", where are you getting your numbers again? I get mine here:

http://www.electoral-vote.com/past-elections/2000.html

and 7.6%, while not close, isn't exactly a landslide either. As for this year, the latest polls put Kerry at a 1% lead (statistical tie, but that's even further from a landslide).
