Personally, I think it isn't, as the egg has not been fertilized, and so even if you are opposed to consuming animals you arn't actually... Just the nutrients for its development.
But...
What do you think?

Nah... its more like eating the placenta... hard to make a mammilian analogy...
But the eggs you buy at the store are NOT baby birds. It is simply a nutrient bath in which a baby bird would develop if it had been fertilized... but since they havn't been, there is no bird at all...

Well eating a chiken egg isnt really eating a baby since it hasnt benn fertilized and therefore would have rotted on the groung if someone hadnt eaten it as for ducks ect i not to sure but its probly the same

No, like Arx said, an egg is only a baby chicken, duck, ostrich, platypus or other egg-laying creature if it has been fertilized. If it hasn't been fertilized, which the majority of eggs sold on the market are not then its simply a shell full of nutrients designed to feed a baby creature thats never coming. Therefore, no problem with eating eggs for me.

no, an egg is a chicken's period unless a rooster's been loose in the hen house.
it's an unfertilized chicken egg so it's no more likely to become a chicken than an unfertilized human egg.
