I figure I'll spend some time today downloading some music. Yes, of course I will be paying the licensing fees as I am a good, upstanding citizen who would never break any laws! *coff*

Anyway, give me your top 5-10 must download songs w/artist name. I figure it'd be nice to have something new to listen to.

If I don't already have it, I will search for any and all suggestions. :D

Heard of Maroon 5?
Try downloading "She will be Loved" or "This Love"
other than that it depends what you like!

Anything Chilli Peppers is good, especialy the Zephyr Song.
Same for Metallica.
Also, Sanctaphrax forgot to mention "Harder to Breathe" by Maroon 5, which is also good.
"Experimental Film" by They Might Be Giants is pretty funny
But lately, my new personal favorites are Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" and Modest Mouse's "Float On".

If you're looking for funny then try "ugly girl"
it's a spoof of "barbie girl" and it's hysterical!

I decided about a month ago that, if I had to choose one piece of human civilization, after realizing that Popful Mail and a SegaCD would be worthless without eachother, it had to be Third Eye Blind's Jumper. That song is the very definition of "dignified minimalism." It hasn't got a single note it doesn't need, and it still has everything neccesary to be amazing.

Aside from that, erm... Most of the rest of 3EB's self-titled album's worthwhile, but only amazing when heard as the whole album, in sequence.
Oasis's "Wonderwall," from What's the Story, Morning Glory.
Ben Fold's "Brick."

And, if you have an amazon account or a good used record's store (or live in Minneapolis, because you won't find them anywhere else) The Replacement's Let it Be & Tim, & Soul Asylum's And the Horse They Rode in On & Hang Time are nice antique albums. They're probably older than you are, but if you're into grunge at all, go ahead. They're all what're usually argued as "The First Grunge album," depending on who you ask.
