I see more of them when I am out in the wilderness hiking or backpacking. I do see a few in town every once in while also.

No irony, since his point was (by expanding it to all humanity at the end,) that everyone is self-absorbed. The U.S.A. was merely an example.

Once could say that you were self-absorbed for taking the original poster's comment personally.

Isn't Uluru the same thing as Ayers Rock in Australia?

uluru* is the aboriginal word for ayers rock not necassarily the correct name id perfer uluru/ayers rock

If the cities of australia are teeming sores, then america has a thousand teeming sores all over, that would probably be the best line of defence america can take, just that there's so much going on over there that people living in it don't have the attention span to notice what is going on in other places of the world
