What did you do on your first day on NS?

I struggled to get onto the forums and made a few posts in the NS forum.

Created my nation and looked around the site, nothing much to see of course. I applied to the UN, and immediatly received a message to join the region of Solarius or something.

I accepted, thinking it would be better to start in a smaller region, got help on how to enter a new region, and joined.

I got the wrong impression of the NS community thanks to Sambonia's flag.

What did you do on your first day on NS?

i found the biggest political word battle and dove into the middle with guns blazing john woo style

I decided an issue, looked at the world and West Pacific rankings, and then logged off to do other sleepover stuff.

I declared war on a billion+ nation and was branded a n00b.

It rocked!

I celebrated to capture of Saddam Hussein (day I joined was also his capture day)

I yelled at someone who was ridiculing LeBron James for only scoring 7 points in a game. He was saying that James was going to be a joke and a failure because he was shooting badly in that game, and I told him he was an idiot to make a judgement after only a month into his rookie season.

I looked at the stickies in NS and II and then refused to have anything to do with the forum for 7 months.

I created my region and told a bunch of others from DU how to join it. I also applied to the UN and made a post on the UN forum.

And I also read the FAQ and a couple stickies.

I created my nation, then created a region, now defunct. Then, I looked around. A couple days later I discovered the forums, then posted a regional ad in the middle of an RP. I was slapped in the face, then removed the ad.

I declared war on about 20 nations. :D

You're right. I did join a region after I was in the Pacific. I can't remember which one though. It had alot of 00's or 1's preceding it or something weird preceding it. The next day I left for the region The Islands where I stayed for two and a half weeks before joining my current region.

I tried to get on the forum, but it was down at the time. As a result, I assumed that it didn't work and didn't bother trying again for several weeks.

Declared war on a hundred something countries.

Created my first ever nation, Stupid Freaks, and joined a region with all my geography classmates. Then I sent telegrams to my friends, I clicked on the forum, but it just said "this page cannot be displayed", so I gave up and didn't try again for a few months.

ansewerd my issue, fidgeted with my settings, then logged on and off anxiously awaiting the issue to be accepted, little did i know it was overnight.
i didnt even venuter into the forums for awhile...

I explored the forum. Looked at a few RPs. Applied to the UN. Got an invite to my first region. I of coursed joined. Didn't join my first real RP till about early/mid-January.

My first day on NS:

I finished reading "Logoland" and saw that URL in it. I decided to turn on my PC (aka slowtux), looked at the page, read the FAQ and then started as Rejistania.

What I did then:
* made democracy compulsory
* Searched for a region with a better name
* Found Oceania
* Found the forums
* Posted a few messages there
* had a power cut
* went to bed, forgot to turn off the light
* woke up when the lights were on again
* and logged in to nationstates.net again...
