I remember going to bed on 9/10/01 (which I remember being a Monday) thinking that the next morning would be like any other Tuesday. I would go to school at the local juco, check my fantasy football team's result, go to classes, yada, yada, yada.

The next morning started out like any other Tuesday: I got up between 6:15 and 6:30, got ready to go to school, had a slight if any breakfast, and went out to start my mom's car. Once we got in the car though, that day was very much unlike any other Tuesday. My mom and I were driving for her to go to work and me to school and listening to the radio. I probably would have been a bit more knowlegable about what had happened if I had turned up the radio. So I went into school and my first class was Spanish. La profesora was discussing the impact of the morning's events and I was sitting there wondering what she was talking about.

When I finally found out what everybody was so worried about, I was just as pissed off as any good American would be. Why would they do this shit? I had heard of Osama bin Laden before, but not that he was the head of a terrorist organization called "al Qaeda" (sp?). What needs done to bin Laden: :mp5:

I apparently waited too long and it logged me out. :mad: After being able to hit the "back" button on my browser, I hit copy. I then had to go back to the NS homepage, log into that account, and come back to the boards. I found the thread again and hit paste.

The steps of the Imperial Palace in Old Sdaeriji



Greetings, fellow loyal subjects of the Imperial Dominion. I come to you bearing sad news. Today, our allies and friends in Sarzonia experienced a tragedy. Terrorists in the Sarzonian colony of Branwyn bombed a barracks containing Sarzonian peacekeeping forces. 7,000 innocent lives were lost in this heinous act of horror.

Together we must stand against these barbaric individuals who call themselves "freedom fighters". They fight for no freedom; they fight to destroy our way of lives. They are cowards who are afraid to meet civilized nations on the battlefield, so they resort to killing defenseless women and children. We, as a nation, must do all we can to oppose these savages!

So, as leader of the Imperial Dominion and the greater Empire of Sdaeriji, I extend the deepest condolences to the family and friends of those lost in the slaughter of Daltrey. Also, any aid that the nation of Sarzonia requests from the Imperial Dominion will be given freely. I urge you, loyal citizens of the Imperial Dominion, to donate privately to numerous Sarzonian charities that will be aiding the friends and families of those who were lost needlessly at the hands of the Branwyn terrorists.

Also, we must remain ever vigilant here within the borders of Sdaeriji. While this nation has never suffered a terrorist action, and it has been centuries since foriegn armies marched on our soil, this does not somehow mean we are impervious to such attacks. Do not fool yourselves, people of Sdaeriji; there are many people in the world who would like nothing better than to see our destruction. There are many organizations whose express purpose is to bring down the Sdaerijian way of life. We must not let these people win! We must continue to live the Sdaerijian way of life! Nothing these barbarians do can change us! We will prevail!!!

[long pause for extended ovation]

That is why I am announcing that Sdaeriji will undergo a revolution in security precautions. Starting today, security procedures related to terrorism and terrorist activites will being unprecedented modernization and tightening. I WILL NOT allow a terrorist action to befall our great nation! As the new safety procedures take effect, you, great and loyal citizens of the Imperial Dominion, will be informed. These new precautions will ensure another 6,000 years of Sdaerijian safety!

For now, however, be strong, people of Sdaeriji, and rest assured that your Imperial Dominion is doing everything within its power to keep your interests safe. Glory to the Dominion!
