The Time at the Time is 280 BC Right after the Collaspe of Alexander's Macedonian Empire.

yeah, I noticed that too, and in 280bc, Sparta either was part Alexander's empire or of the Macedonian empire, one part of the 4 way split up of Alexander's empire after his untimely death. Rome was almost completely in control of Italy, though the gauls had sacked Rome a mere 80ish years earlier, and was about to enter the First Punic War against Carthage, 264bc. Eqypt was under control of the Greeks, and Spain was controlled by Carthage.

Egypt was under the Ptolemy Dynasty had heavy influences of the Traditional Egyptian Culture and the Newly arrived Greek Culture.
Carthage didn't have that much Influence in Spain at the time. They gained a significent position there during the First Punic War though.
Why is the Netherlands part of an ancient civilization RP?
It's the Barbarian Germanic Tribes who lived in the Netherlands area at the time that is represented.

Heh, now I have some REAL info for Anyone who wants to play.
We've moved to a new Forum!, if you're already playing and having found out yet please follow the new Site and register. If not then we've been Improving the Game, so check it out. Also many players haven't shown up after claiming a nation, so we've been Cleaning up. So that means that previously claimed Powers are now Playable. :)
