I was watching a comedian about ten minutes ago, Tom Alexandro, or something close to that, and he had a really good point.

"There are all kinds of Americans, Asian Americans, Mexican Americans, African Americans, Caucasian Americans. You know, where exactly is Caucasia? I would love to visit the mother country if someone would point it out."

Where exactly does the term "caucasian" (sp?) come from?

Lol haha, I just wanted to say I think that's pretty funny. I never thought of if that way....

I don't know the answer so I can't really help you, but that's an amusing way to look at things.

Where exactly does the term "caucasian" (sp?) come from?

it actually does refer to a place - the causcasus region between the black sea and the caspian. the term comes from a particular theory of human races from the late 1700s/early 1800s (i forget exactly). this was the five race theory, and the people of the caucasus region where supposed to be the closest to the original stock of white people - and i believe there was some sort of ranking based on beauty. somebody (stephen j gould, perhaps?) wrote an essay on it. i'll go see if i can find it.

You might not have heard about the Caucasus region (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caucasus), that encompasses parts of Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.

Caucasia is often called Whiteonia. It's where all white people come from. There isn't really anything going on there. Everybody is the same. And there is no color. Life is in Black and White. Men go to work every day in clean suits, and women stay home and take care of the house. After a long day, Whiteonians don't do anything. They simply stand around, or listen to the radio. Then at 9 every night they go to bed to start another day at 5 AM on the dot.

And don't believe the lies and propaganda of some white people who claim, that they actually have different heritages. Everyone knows White People do not have any culture. There is no difference between a Englishman and a Frenchman, they're all from Whiteonia.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, I don't know if i'm hijacking the thread or not. But growing up, i've gotten bitter about the amount of hositility towards European and American culture. Acadamia has done a good job of turning a "Caucasian" into a useless drone, who's only goal in life is to oppress people. Unlike the vibrant Latinos, and African Americans. Who go home to fiestas or Tribal Dances every night. And celebrate with Tacos!

I still find it offensive, that on Standardized Tests, Asians can pick from all different nations, China, Japan, Laos, Korea, etc etc. And then there's just "White". As if English people are the same as German.
