I've got an idea that could possibly make the world better.

How about we just forget about different countries and just have one big place. Have laws set down city by city or town by town?

Would this work? If not, why?

Horrible idea. It's like abolishing religion. Without the pretext to blow other people up, we'll have to blow up ourselves instead.

No borders, no nations - that sort of idea? not sure it'd change much, still differences in cultures which would still cause conflict.

I don't think so...

"It's like those two stone Buddhas in Afghanistan. 'What would Buddha do?' Nothing. What does a Buddhist terrorist do? Goes into the street with some gasoline. Pours it on himself. Foosh. Self barbecue. Other fundamentalists killing eachother in the name of God go, 'What the hell are you doing?!?'
'Making you deal with your shit.' "-Robin Williams.

No, not like THE NWO, but it would be A NWO. If one place wanted gay marriage they could have it. If one place wanted to be libertarian and one place wanted communism, they could have it. If one wanted to be completely aetheist they could be. So what's the problem?

i personally dont think it would work. it sounds great in theory, but first of all, you couldnt just stop things now and say "ok we are all together now". that would cause more rebellion than any event in history. perhaps if the world could embrace each others differences and respect them, we could co-exist peacefully. but that will never happen. the world would rather judge their neighbor than embrace them. its sad

I'm inclined to agree. Only if...

I just don't think that it would work out. Too many cultural differences, we could never be "one".

Whgy don't we just destroy everyone and start again? Six foot tall Platapi sounds good to me.

I think the idea was that we would have one world senate with little power and every city of city-state would choose its own course.

What if we just alienated ourselves from the rest of the world? Just trade with the towns that had the same ideals as you or was a peaceful cooperative city.

what we need is to discover life on other planets, intelligent life.

then we'll realise that our differences are miniscule compared to how different we are from them.

Oh, so the differet places would act just like nations....

Yeah, but since there would be such a variety of places to choose from with different laws, you could choose where you would best fit in and live there.

Well. it's a part of my ideology.
And it would mean that patriotism would get cut an inch or two.

So you agree with it then? I'm highly into seperatism for the time being. Then after a few decades I think people would get tired of being so isolated and they would learn to accept each others differences city by city. That's the long term goal.

Like deciding what country to live in... I get it.
