Not the Meaning of Life. The two Plot-based ones were excellent though.

Fuck... I misspelled Life DAMN!

Meaning of Life is WAY the best MP movie. In comparison to Life of Brian, Life of Brian SUCKS!

I preferred the Holy Grail, personally, but the MoL was... just too bitty for my tastes. It needed a decent narrative to keep it going, IMO.

It's MONTY PYTHON!!! What do you expect? A romantic comedy?

I voted the Life of Brian. The last scene is classic, I have a soft spot for religious satire, and the acting is rather good, as is the comedy.

I still adore the other two however.

I mean, how can anyone not like Every Sperm Is Sacred, The Galaxy Song, and Eric Idle's, The Meaning of Life.

Oh, fishy, fishy, fishy, fish!!!

And it went wherever I did go!

The holly grail i thought was the funniest one out the lot ..

The scene where john cleese is running up to the castle then it flips bak and hes at the start again, it does it 4 times then he just appears right in front of them at the gate " Ahaaaah"

Then one of the gaurds makes a silly silly noise as he dies LOL

Im creasing up thinking about it :)

"At least I don't work for Jews!" sooooo funny (for the oblivious: right after the restaurant-scetch with the guy who ate too much exploded)

I'm going with the Life of Brian as well--the story was just so much tighter and so much more snarky. Holy Grail is a comic masterpiece, but it's really just a lot of goofing on an old legend. The Life of Brian really just jammed its middle finger in the eyes of organized religion.

And besides, it had full frontal nudity in it. That's got to count for something.

I voted for Grail because of varying reasons.

1. It was their first full feature film and, in my mind, has the the better play on historical and mythological figures.

2. Life of Brian comes in a close second, but, despite what some people say, it does not have better acting. It has better editing. By the time they made Life, Chapman was nearly incapacitated by alcoholism and editing was the only way they saved that movie....otherwise, without that knowledge, it ties with Quest.

3. Meaning was absolutely hilarious, but it really is nothing more than an entire season of Python put together as a movie. Disjointed sketches that have a common thread...nothing more.

All in all, the troupe that is Monty Python's Flying Circus is the Led Zeppelin of the comedy genre.

Take it light.
